Thank you for showing me that I bought a rolling pin a while ago and I've always been nervous to use it. You made this look so easy and now I can't wait to try it! Could you please do some more landscaping paintings I really love the way you explain things and I also like your style and I would like to see more please. Thanks again for this video I really appreciated it😊

Thank you very very much. Sadly landscapes isn't something that I tend to do much being a wildlife artist, but.....I will certainly add it to my list for you. 😀

Thank you Denise, it was just a doodle with some masking fluid more than a fully fledge painting, but good fun though.

Hi Paul What brand of Masking Fluid you using as I like the darker pigment - Windsor & Newton is pretty to pale for me
@TheDevonArtist3 ай бұрын
I tend to vary them, so I can try out various makes. Currently, I'm using a latex free one called Pebeo Drawing Gum, very good as well. devonartist.co.uk/materials-i-use-or-recommend-for-realistic-watercolour/

Great video! ❤ It was my first time using masking fluid last week, and it's definitely a game changer for me. 😊 Instead of a ruling pen, can I use something like a glass pen?
@TheDevonArtist6 ай бұрын
I can't see why not, it sounds like a good idea. The only difference is that you won't be able to load it as much with masking fluid. But I have also use a cocktail stick as well, so give it a go. 😀

Yeah would probably have to dip more often 🙁 that's what I experienced using a small cheap brush since I didn't want to ruin my other brushes. I'll go invest on a ruling pen soon, thank yo so much for this tip!

When you use this, do you have the opening on the paper or the bottom of the tip on the paper... like where should the opening of the tip be?
@TheDevonArtist6 ай бұрын
Hi Ralph, I'm trying to understand what you mean. I do have the tip of the pen on the paper, and occasionally increase the pressure to allow more masking fluid through the nib. 😀

@@TheDevonArtist I have trouble with the mastic coming out of the pen.... thought maybe you need to hold the pen a special way for it to release the fluid...I hope that is clearer
@TheDevonArtist6 ай бұрын
It certainly is clearer, thank you for explaining that Ralph. I sometimes use the pen sideways as well which can help to allow the masking fluid to flow. You just have to make sure the fluid is fresh in the pen, otherwise it won't flow. 😊@ralphherrick596
