Hank Iroz and Iroz Motorsport have long been the ones to push this platform faster and faster and faster over the past couple of years. Through Hank's journey with his own RS3 and through his months and months of R&D he and Syvecs present this phenomenal AWD controller. This device replaces your OEM Haldex controller and pushes the level of traction you are able to obtain to a whole new level.
In this video I show you a very quick install as well as a bunch of testing to show you all just how effective this device is. It provides tremendous gains in both 0-60mph times as well as 60ft times.

@@VancityAudi hey Adam I’m having issues with mine TTE700 car stock motor but upgraded sensors and fuel pump e85 on stock setting mine just spins the tires while driving not from a stop if I mash it spins about 80-90 mph. Then if I turn it up more that stops. Issue is launch new PS4 tires 35 psi in them spins all over can’t get out of the hole and is causing my car not to want to shift. I turned up controller more got out of hole it felt better less spin but was slower I’m at a loss. Race coming up next weekend might throw my slicks on and test if it doesn’t rain. Thoughts?

Billy Joe it still utilized the factory ECU I just ordered mine through EURO-CODE which works with IROZ. These are 2 entirely different systems one is a ECU and one is a system that detects how torque is divided , with the OEM unit you can’t adjust the torque spilt , this controller bypasses that issue by replacing the factory unit with the Syvecs controller. This has nothing to do with the ECU the factory ECU is responsible for numerous things. To answer your question you don’t need a Syvecs ECU to run a Syvecs Halidex controller. You also don’t need a tune to install this just like Adam said in his video it’s plug and play that’s it. Not everybody is going to able to spend 5 or 6 grand on a ECU like Syvecs not that it would be nice lol hope that answers your question , any other questions feel free to ask I have the same platform except it’s a 2019 TTRS stage 2 Unitronics E85

@VancityAudi

These haldex AWD systems don't work like that sadly. It isn't a true 50/50 split of power all the time. It drives around mainly in FWD only unless you require some additional traction in the rear and then the rears get more power.

Hey Adam another great video. I'm struggling for traction big time, I'm stage 3 tte700 95oct on PS4S and I'm literally spinning big time in first and second. I'm thinking just going with a better semi slick street tyre or would you think this haldex controller is even better option
@VancityAudi
@VancityAudi 3 жыл бұрын
First things first, get yourself a proper set of tires. PS4S are great all around tires but they aren't meant for drag racing or achieving solid launch times. If you want to by-pass the proper tires for launching a car effectively, the Syvecs haldex controller does one hell of a good job sending power to the rears to get a much more effective launch.
@gtrsfk9001
@gtrsfk9001 3 жыл бұрын
@@VancityAudi thanks so I will start with a better tyre that can do better both on the street and drag, was thinking of these two options: Tproxes R888R and Michelin Cup 2. Any thoughts?
@VancityAudi
@VancityAudi 3 жыл бұрын
@@gtrsfk9001 neither of those tires are meant for drag racing. They are both designed for circuit racing. If you want to simply improve your launches you'll be looking for a drag radial. I know you don't want to hear it, but there is no tire that does it all. You're either going to focus on a tire that will help your launching or help your cornering and grip. I used an RE71R when I wanted best of both worlds but that still isn't a drag tire.
@gtrsfk9001
@gtrsfk9001 3 жыл бұрын
@@VancityAudi some good points Adam. I guess I'm really looking for a street tyre that will just give me better traction from a dig than the PS4S but can also daily with (no rain here). I reckon I'll need to bite the bullet and go with some 18s and drag radials for when I hit the drag.
@VancityAudi
@VancityAudi 3 жыл бұрын
@@gtrsfk9001 if you opt for 18's as your daily tire and strap on some RE71R's that would do well for you. The more sidewall, the more flex, the better for launching and they'd still do well for you on the street. You just won't get a ton of mileage on them

A haldex unit can not put more than 50% of the power to the rears. As much as the unit can be turned up to 100, you still aren't putting more than 50% of the total torque to the rear tires. Maybe down the road they will figure it out, but for now I don't believe that is possible.

No, you still can't drift the car. At this present time the maximum amount of power you get to the rears is 50% of the total power output due to the limitations of the haldex unit. I failed at explaining that. I have been told though that Syvecs is working on a possible drift mode in the future for these cars. My guess would be they are working on lowering the front wheels power output while still retaining that 50% to the rear wheels.

@@patpaul218 no, there is no locking. It simply puts more torque to the rears off launch, but then as you accelerate it's still programmed as a stock haldex where it slowly rolls back into FWD. It is tunable though to your own preferred style once you get the software.

At the time that I made this video (which was years ago now), very little was known about these controllers. There were zero technical terms available to the public. As for torque split numbers, I have no idea. If I had to guess, it is capable of sending roughly 70-80% of the available torque to the rear wheels when it is at the max level.

@@VancityAudi so you still dont know.? .some controllers at 'zero' can be 100% Fwd but all of them are at the most 50% to the rears. because of the design of Haldex....thats what i found out in a week so far. syvecs keeps that quiet because thats not good news if you like sideways driving of any kind .

@shangee tibodo no, I still don't know or I would have told you in my last comment. I have not updated the software and have not tinkered with it at all. No, the device can only increase the duty cycle of the haldex device which has to have the front wheels being driven as well as the rears. You can't disengage the front wheels from having power sent to them.
