Quite attractive. I like the blade shape and the handle looks like a blended Buck/Boker. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Adrien, Another great review. Don’t own one of these but certainly looks like a great knife. Always good to see knives in the hand in videos, give you a “real life” perspective of size and more of a feel for what they are all about. Looks like it would be a great user and like it’s been put together really well 😎 Thanks for sharing brother, stay safe and be well 😎👍🏻

I agree, the work for the scales alone make it above run of the mill. Add the sheath and box, excellent. Thanks Adrien!

Smokin’ deal for this thing imo. Really nice feeling in the hand. Overall very good run by Rough Ryder!😎

They make a fixed blade version of this which is quite nice for the price. Its very well built as well.

There 3 of those Highland hunters. I like the model you have and the cleaver style are both really good solid knives. Thanks

I didn’t know they had a cleaver style. I’ll have to check that one out. Thanks 😎

While we could carry those in the UK back some time ago the lockback was definitely one of my favourites, they just give you that sense of confidence to use over the slipjoint. One hell of a working knife for sure.

I hear you. This one has a good positive lock closed. You for sure get a sense of confidence. Thanks for watching! 😎

Nice find 👍. Solid working man’s knife . Reminds me of a buck 110 but smaller . Seen Stassa showed a $35 titanium 14c offering . Pretty wild

I've had mine now for years it is used a lot and have had zero problems . I bought this one because the handles match the Highlander Bowie knife #RR1730 Rough Rider makes good stuff. I made a piggyback sheath and the lock back is the secondary knife great combo .

I think that's pretty decent for only $20, not bad at all. 👍I currently own 2 RR knives, both are traditional pattern slipjoints, but the quality is 2nd to none. RR seems to make good stuff for very budget friendly prices. Thanks for sharing and Cheers!

Great video and a really nice looking knife before you even look at the price point. I don't have a RR Lockback yet but seems like you'd be hard pressed to beat it at that price. Thanks for sharing!

I prefer lockbacks. I dont trust liner locks ,frame locks , and button locks . I stick to USA made Buck , (USA MADE ) older Schrades , Bear and Son , older Camillus . The Buck 112 is always my go to knife for edc . I recently discovered Rough Ryder due to them having that Bigfoot themed lockback RR2167 I didnt expect it to be quality it was just going on display with my other Bigfoot stuff and wow I was pretty shocked at the fit and finish I guess SMKW makes them keep up with QA to be their house brand . I think ill grab me one of those highlander lockbacks soon . Thanks for sharing this video .

Brother... you should be a presenter on QVC. By the 2 minute mark, I already had one in my shopping cart. 8 minutes in and I was looking for the countdown clock and when I finally checked out, I had gone and bought 5 of those buggers. Me thinks you are headed for big things.

Excitement over a Chinese obvious knock-off of a Buck 112? I'll keep my originals, thank you. I'm not a flag waver. But I am anti knock-off regardless of where the copy is made. Spend the extra $35 and support the workers in the USA making the Buck knives ORIGINALS.
@adrienjames Жыл бұрын
Definitely keep your Bucks. But your philosophy has holes. This is a different knife than a 112. It’s not a rip off. Some guys can’t afford a Buck and some guys just aren’t interested in spending $50 on a 112. Are they not allowed to buy a rough ryder? Have you never bought anything made in China? Either way, thanks for watching 👍🏻
@rbs1889 Жыл бұрын
@krazmokramer IMO this is not a Buck 112 copy. It's a different looking clippoint, different nailnick, different handle shape and material, it's got a lanyard hole whereas the Buck doesn't. Seriously, if you consider this a Buck knock-off then every knife out there is a knock-off 🤷🏻 Personally I find this a much better looking knife than the 112. I also don't care where it's made. It was made by a human being who got paid to do the job, regardless where he or she lives. If you don't want to buy Chinese, then don't, no problem. But please don't go hating on people that do. Just saying😊
@ianrankin1293 Жыл бұрын
That is never a Buck 112 knockoff,had one for a couple of years and it is well made and excellent value! Really cant be bothered with anti Chinese made hypocrites
@krazmokramer Жыл бұрын
@@ianrankin1293 Thanks for labeling me a "Chinese made hypocrite." You obviously failed, or are unable to read what I originally posted. I have nothing against Chinese made products. I bought a Civivi blade yesterday. I DO have a problem with blatant copies of an original design. Yes, this RR knife has subtle differences. But it is basically a Buck 112 no matter how you slice it. As to the questions posed in the reply from @Adrien James, my disgust is from the way you are gushing over the "shape of the blade" as if it is a radically new design. Yes the nail nick is different. But the shape and dimensions are that of a Buck 112. You said so yourself. Now...I really can't be bothered by haters who feel mediocrity is good enough. Bye-Bye haters!!!
@Hunting4Hookers Жыл бұрын
See the point. I have about 8 Bucks. But I also like knives in general and own many Chinese and American blades. Folks that don’t have the budget or want for a $69 knife can still get a good quality knife.
