In this video, Adam goes over the best trail arm dynamics in the backswing. When creating width, we cant simple just keep both of our arms straight. The correct way to have more width is the maintain the straight lead arm and have a connected trail elbow. Adam goes over the right way to position the elbow through out the swing.

Do you know how darn good that lesson was? It was beyond great! Now that’s the way to teach the golf swing! ! Bravo!! 👏👏😍

After watching hours and hours of your videos, I finally caught on to the “soft trail arm” tip in this video and another. It’s allowed me to think more lead arm dominant in my swing. Such a revelation.

mr. porzak, you have a great golf channel and i've gotten a lot out of it. i just wish you weren't so far away for an in person lesson, i live in massachusetts and i figure you're in california.

You're such a brilliant coach... been watching a LOT of your content and am seriously impressed ... am wondering if you'd do a video about arm/body relation a little deeper ... I've not yet seen a KZbin video about NOT bending too much forward in your setup ... cause standing tall with arms closer (actually feels really close) to you from shoulders down is really what keeps the arms connected... not need to worry being "too" close with your arms... your body turns to open up that space of freedom BUT keeping the connection ... those who lean to far forward with the ball just a bit too far away from them at setup are those most struggling with arm/body connection through the swing... yes it's possible ... but hard work that's not needed at all in this great game of ours. I really hope you'll do a video about this subject ... all the best to you, all your fans and students ... ;)

Thanks for clarifying the head over drill. It never really worked for me until now, knowing needs to be in front* on the pec. Huge difference and puts the club in a perfect position in the backswing. Thanks!

I'm just gonna comment, LSOB to every video that Adam puts out. Cuz anyone that gets to spend time with Adam in person is a Lucky SOB! :-). I'm not going to run out and buy a mallet putter, but I will try that drill tomorrow!

The Zak Attack strikes again! Just got a quick late night sesh in with my TrackMan, been struggling a bit for awhile with my path way too in to out. Path was all across the board insert compensation depending on the day. Using the mechanics you broke down in the video, path was 3.0-5.5 (60 balls, hit every club in the bag). Can’t thank you enough for the level of instruction you provide on your channel Adam! #ZakPack 🤙🏻

I love this drill where you put your lead arm underneath the trail arm but I am physically incapable of doing this. I’m a heavy set guy with shorter arms, stocky and built with bigger biceps and tris (by no means do I have a body of Adonis); do you have another drill that can replicate this? These videos drive me nuts but they’re great! Keep em coming!

Definitely a little bit of the Hogan/Knudson leg/knee action/ finish going on here (though the video’s about arms). I suppose that economical arm a action probably lends itself however to hogan/Knudson footwork. Maybe not-but I can see similarities. Great discussion!

Would love to have a session with you. My right elbow when I get to the top of my backswing, wants to kick out. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not starting the swing by clearing my lower body or it’s just instinct to try to immediately square the club. It’s debilitating and, so discouraging fighting it. How in the heck do you calm down the right elbow?

I know its hard to diagnose someone over the internet, but i have been following your channel awhile, I really like all the check points and most of them work for me, but the giving blood/trail arm connection (while i know it is super important a crucial for good swing mechanics) for me when i force myself to keep it there i hit everything fat I cant seem to make great contact at all. any tips on this? thanks in advance!

The more I watch the worse I get. No local instructors have availability. I went from high 70s and low 80s at the beginning of the year to a 98 yesterday. I don't even know how to swing anymore. KZbin golf has me so messed up. Think it's time for a break.

Keep working at it. Any type of new change may get worse before getting better. You need to practice on the range and work on the drills Porzak talks about. My game has greatly improved in the last year with a lot of practice.
