Hi Sylvia , watching the train trip you did today was what made me determined to come to Switzerland . I saw a video on KZbin about three or four years ago of the same trip , and decided I had to see it myself . I have since then been three times , and shortly will be returning for a forth time . What a wonderful trip!!! Especially watching the fog climb the mountain and seeing the wind blowing the grasses. I was wondering if it was a time-lapse when your message "not time-lapse" popped up. Hello dears Sylvia and Rasta 😊 Thank you for another wonderful adventure 😊 At the beginning of this video i was wondering where was Rasta. But there he is. Blessing the area around 🤣. I love that. Thanks.. Every Sunday for two summers I would bring my groups up the Brinez Rothorn.. Most of the time I would get a beautiful meal at the hotel, the Rostii was my favorite, they also had a great shop in the hotel selling swiss hand made gifts which were very unique and very well made,.

You always have to reserve a seat otherwise they won't let you on the train - with or without a Swiss Pass. :)

Will the day pass suffice for also this mountain train or it is compulsory to buy a separate ticket for the mountain train? You need to book well in advance and extra fee to confirm a seat. Went late June tolook at it but overwhelmed by Asian visitors. Schynige Platte might be better option.

Yes, you MUST do a seat place reservation - otherwise you maybe stay at the trainstation. But you can book it online :)

Yes you can, i did this a couple of weeks ago. Just be sure to make an online reservation so you're guaranteed a seat. Its a great use of the passes.
