Best Traits for ANY Loadout - New Player Guide - Hunt Showdown 1896

Aggressive playstyle play with a dedicated squad, and generally stick to close to mid range 20-60 meters range. I'm going to list my top ten based off new update. 1. Iron eye- no brainer shoot slightly faster and stay in ads. 2. Physician- get heals off quicker crazy how many times having that extra med kit heal will clutch for you. 3&4- witness and Vigor- This update has consolidated these in my every hunter. Seeing bodies is cool, but standing next to them for a passive heal and boosting it substantially with vigor for those gun fights when the enemy is keeping range trying to whittle you down you can outlast them, and has the benefit of keeping you topped up saving heals for fights. 5 packmule- double up loot let's you take a extra x2 shots and replenishing them with little consequences no brainer. 6. Gator legs- not always useful but when it is ur glad. 7. Doctor- expensive but worth it when you get hit hard with a sparks or more likely 1865 carbine saves heals. 8. Bloodless- dum dum and FMJ are still the uncrowned kings of custom ammo reduction of bleed utility is key. 9. Necro- while nerfed hard it can still clutch up you just have to play it smarter. 10. Vigilant the single most important trait almost no new player brings and it will save you literally hundreds of losses in the lower MMR lobbies.

Solo I always go magpie & necro first If I have enough points after that I get something based on my kit Marathon I get iron eye Winfield I get levering Shotgun I get conduit That’s typically how I start a Hunter and then I go for health/medkit perks; doctor, frontiersmen, physician. If a Hunter survives the first or second game I will often rework them to have a more expensive and specialized loadout. I do a similar process for teams but replace necro with resilience

Why conduit specifically for shotgun? Its always one of the traits i go for first no matter my loadout. Just curious in case im missing something that makes it a good trait for shotgun in particular.

@@BackiePlays I think they are just taking it as a general trait for is usual bonuses really. It doesn't have any shotgun bonus, so unless there is something I am missing too, you aren't missing anything :)

​@@BackiePlays probably due to the fact that when you have a shotgun you really need to cut down on the distance towards your enemy to make your shots matter.

Necro and Magpie - always! I am a solo only player pretty much Serpent early if you have the 4 points for the first match (9 Starter points for traits) - Get it later if you cant Then grab Doctor-Physician-Frontiersman as priority Defensive perks following this: Bulwark-Bloodless-Kiteskin-Dauntless-Salveskin Bonus perks: Vulture-Packmule Thats 13 perks, leaving 2 slots for stuff like Death cheat, Shadow, Surefoot, or weapon specific perks like quartermaster I usually run Shotgun+Pistol, spear-medkit-pennyderringer-flaregun, fragbomb-stickybomb-regenshot-staminashot I play an aggressive but cautious and patient playstyle

The traits that help with stealth are extremely useful if you want to play aggressive! Lightfoot and Beast face, as well as Silent Killer are extremely useful and are often the difference between getting the drop on someone and them getting the drop on you.

Whispersmith too, switching your weapon/equipment is surprisingly loud in a close quarters fight. Much easier to catch someone off guard with a Molotov or something

Same here, serpent is free points for a solo, and many many times I've snagged a bounty safely with it and gotten out with it. Always take it with necro and magpie. Those are my first 3 traits. After that it's a mix of support and weapon traits.

My traits are always Serpent, Necro and Magpie. Everything else after that is event specific, supportive or weapon based. Play solo mostly. Serpent is just free money and points and keeps you out of the line of fire doing it! Often snagged a bounty from banish site or a downed enemy and thats very strong for a solo. Paired with magpie makes it a no brain decision. Necro is still well worth the investment i think, its a hefty nerf but its still gotten me a lot of value overall. Other that that i love packmule and frontiersman, looting 2 items and getting an extra use from tools for a solo is great.

Physician+regen>doctor imo bring a big vitty for when you're in a pinch

Conduit>greyhound just run stamina and you'll be peak speed and AI will rarely be a problem.

Dauntless will save your life more than any other 1 point trait and more than most more expensive traits as well.

Right quick. Always align you weapons and traits. If you are bringing a levering gun like terminus grab levering same with fanning. They make mid weapons top tier. A Joslyn with fanning can be a deciding factor in a team fight.

@@Ajattaro yeah you are 100% right, a lot of new players don't know what these traits are. I didn't realise when I first took it, when I started playing I could just hold the mouse button down 😂 Thought I just had to click fast lol

It's still very usable, the stamina boost is still very nice, but yeah it could do with looking at it again, not sure they will ever put it back to what it was though. They don't want it to conflict with greyhound and determination too much I guess. Though they could just make it good but very costly.
