Best Treestand for under $100! Ladderstand from Big Game!

This budget friendly ladderstand by Big Game Treestands was a pleasant surprise for only $99. In this video I will show how we set it up and my initial thoughts on quality and huntability.
I could not find one in stock on Amazon but will provide a link to another Big Game stand that looks comparable. I will also provide links to a few retailers. I bought this at Ruralking.com store in Paducah Kentucky but online they are showing out of stock. I have used other Big Game Stands and they all are good so just find something in your price range and you will be happy.

*** update*** After hunting this stand pretty hard the last few weeks I have an update. I still think this is a great stand for the price but one draw back is the standing platform. If you stand up to shoot the platform is very small and out in front of the seat a good ways. Make sure if you stand to shoot you have a good amount of cover to hide your movements because you’re far from the tree

I have several Big Game stands with this one included. I love them all. My suggestion is to paint the stand really good before placing because they do tend to rust because it doesn't come with a very good paint job. After painted it will last much longer.

I have a loc on titan ladder I have had for 30 yrs. safest ladder I have seen. Like that there are two straps on the top you wrap around the tree and attach with a ratchet strap, then attach the mid bar which also straps around the tree. This locks the top to the tree eliminating the ladder tilting sideways when you climb. Once up another strap ratchets the top to the tree. Not made anymore and only for a couple years. Its aluminum pipe and 20 lbs, about 3 ft sections for break down and packing. But good review. I like to see all the options out there. I mostly use climbers now

Thanks for the comment! I like climbers as well. For stands I plan to hunt a lot I really like a fixed stand so I can get in and out as quietly as possible especially on a 40 acre parcel.

This is a good stand, but I find the full ladder too high for archery hunting because of the difficulty of making a double lung shot. Unless the target is far away, the angle is too great. I suggest for archery hunting, use one less ladder section. Also, the foot platform is very tight, I want to find a good way to increase the standing area while maintaining safety.

I agree with the foot platform. For me I try to set up for 15-20 yard shots and for that the angle is fine for a double lung shot. You make a good point about the ability to adjust the height by not using all the sections to get the desired height.

If you learn how to aim at deer from a elevated stand you can go up as high as you like and kill the heck out of deer.

I would think so. If the seats fold down you should be fine. I don’t think you could fit it horizontally though.

So far it is holding up well and very sturdy. It will creak a little when you shift weight and I have other stands from this company last several seasons. I usually leave the top part with first ladder section connected and store in the garage so I don’t have to put them together every season. I’ll be buying a few more like this for next season
