New to the climber world and put it to use this hunting season. kzbin.infoUgkxlQ7TDIrnnSXXbRgFFaxqwullRJJIuYAs I felt safe while climbing up and down a tree. It did take some time getting used to climbing and descending the tree. Once I figured it out I was comfortable going in climbing a tree knowing I was going to be up a tree quickly and most importantly quite not scaring every deer out of my area. I am 6’2” and 240 lbs, fit and comfort were great. I bow hunt and found no issues hunting from it. It is a little bulky to carry in and out of the woods vs some of the smaller open front climbers but I thought it was worth the bulk/weight due to ease of climbing (using the rail to sit on) and comfort for long sits.

Thanks a bunch! This climber is light and super easy to climb. I'm glad I bought it. Thanks for the tips I was wondering on how to get my seat cushion out of the way when climbing it got pretty annoying.

Instead of the safety belt I use a Summit rope with a prussic hitch. Much faster and every bit as safe.

Does anyone have issues with the top part, the hinge nobs and the bars on the sides being in the way as you're closing them in the collapsed position and tightening the hinge nobs? for me the bars are pushing on the nobs and the nobs are being bent forward, it's just a bad design, no matter how tight the nobs are, they still move away independently and they just open and it's annoying

Thank you, but what if you want to use that "sit bar" as a "rifle rest" for shooting? Do you have a video on that detail please? thank you.
@bdon2bg8 жыл бұрын
what did you put on the sit bar on the top portion
@2bonosc7 жыл бұрын
Love my hand climber but those hinge knobs are very un user friendly. I had the lower bar collapse on me because the hinge knob came loose. The only thing that save me was the lanyard strap that held the bottom and top together. I pulled on it and kicked the bar a few times and it finally caught. Tough on you when your hanging on the top seat only. Does lone wolf have a repair policy? If I send it back how long would it take to repair and send back?

is the seat noisy ?
@Totrch294 жыл бұрын
No! It’s pretty quiet. All climbers are loud going up and down. This is a great stand. I’ve had mine for five years and love it. The one thing the video doesn’t mention is that the wolf’s head in the base is a bow rest if you forget you hanger in the truck.

I mean sure you can call for some help after you’ve been knocked unconscious or dead after you hit the ground... sure someone would be able to find you within a week or so after you start to smell but I mean at least if I’m hanging from a tree I can call someone to come get me down.

I haved owned both a LW and Summit. I like features of both. The LW is not flimsy and is very quiet and grabs the tree very well. Th Summit is more comfortable but noisy. Now i use an original Equlizer.
@Dougarrowhead5 жыл бұрын
Yes the straps are flimsy and make it hard to climb. Notice he only went about 8 feet up and that was edited. I have a 400 dollar piece of shit that ive only used once. Do no buy one. I bought american and ended up with a piece of shit.
@kingrider754 жыл бұрын
@@Dougarrowhead same here, I hated it and sold it. One thing that bothered me was the v belt. Where it goes into the box tubing there’s a hell of a lot of pressure pushing it against the bottom inside edge of the tubing. Before anyone tells me it’s fine I know a guy who had a belt break precisely at that point. I sold mine
@Totrch294 жыл бұрын
I’ve had the lone wolf for about 5 years. Love it! If you adjust the seat properly before going into the woods to hunt you will be glad you did. Super comfortable for an all day hunt. I like the weight and the level of quiet. I wish the base was just a little bigger for bow hunting but with a crossbow it’s not a problem.

I tried one the other day that my son bought and I wouldn’t have it if you gave it to me … To me it’s a death trap…I don’t like that bar because it swings when trying to get the top part dug into the tree while going up then the top part slides with you… Maybe it just takes time to get used to,,, I’ll stick with wheeler what I got for now…

Summit is best.hands down.im a die hard bow hunter & im 40 years old.started using climbers when they were some angle iron welded togather with a piece of plywood for the seat lol.ive tried them all & just my opinion but summit is #1 in my book.ill be 20 ft in the tree before that wolf gets attached to the tree.too much junk/ hardware.summit is also way more comftorable.hunt hard stay safe guys!

Why dont you make an unedited video of you climbing about 15 or 20 feet up? I know why because these stands wont. Save your money buy something else these stands suck.
@Dougarrowhead5 жыл бұрын
I bought one last year and have only used it once. The rubber straps are so flimsy it is very hard to climb. The straps droop down so much you can only climb up a few inches at a time. Even with the stand angled way back towards the tree in the beginning you can only go up about 12 feet before the stand is unlevel. Ive had home made climbers that were 100 times more useful than these overpriced pieces of scrap metal. Notice he only went about 8 feet up and the straps needed to be tightened already and the seat was starting to droop already. These stands are overpriced pieces of junk. I guess i could just use the seat and not the bottom and sit 2 feet off the ground. If you read this and are thinking about buying one dont. Spend your money on something else. Im as fit and athletic as anyone that has ever bought one of these stands and they just arent worth using unless you want to climb inches at a time and sit no more than 12 feet off the ground.
