Do stability testing, I've heard the new Derry can be pretty tippy, unlike the 605R which has insanely good stability. Also unless they've changed it the Derry has switchable diff lock, so outside of low gear situations is generally going to be slower and use more fuel than the 605R. And under heavy load of course the 73210 has better P2W than either truck. Another consideration is if the Derry can use chain tires, that would be a huge boon for it, currently only the 73210 and the two big Tatras combine the biggest engine with the ability to run chain tires and all 3 of those are limited to 50 inch tires.

IRL they are not really comparable, Maz (Zikz) is a pure offroad heavy weight tractor, HEMTT is more a multi purpose all terrain vehicle. Maz 537 is much wider, heavier and can deal with heavier loads. HEMTT is more comparable to something like the Tatra Force.

That's not an American truck , we don't have those vehicles in the US that truck is a Belarusian truck it's only seen in Russia , North Korea , Belarus , and other former Soviet Union areas. The Derry 15C is modeled after our Airport firefighting apparatus in the United States and also modeled from our military trucks that have the same exact look to the cab.

Shoulda given the derry some sort of advantage over the Ziks, but it appears to have not a single one apart from the 3 slot flatbed. Not sure why there’s no 3 slot sideboard bed in that case though.

The zikz is stupid overpowered at most jobs, honestly having a 3 slot bed is a pretty big upside as very few trucks have it. I’m glad the American side of things is finally getting an A or even S tier truck regardless of how well the Derry performs to the Zikz

given the existing options for 3 slot trucks it's not really going to be a big improvement, by the time 55 inch tires make a difference the 605R is going to be dramatically better than even the Derry even with a trailer hooked up.

Only thing I see the Derry being more useful is having a crane, for the rest the Zikz is faster through everything and with roofrack it has 200l more fuel.

3 slot with crane would be a big help, otherwise 73210 is more stable and has better P2W at the expense of not having 3 slot + crane and only 50in tires. 5600TS has 3 slot + crane as well, but is tippy AF and not useful in places like Amur due to stability.

Here's to praying we get some mining DLC. Check out the Cat 797F if you need some idea of a real mine truck. 159 inch tires. 800,000 pound capacity. 470,000 pounds itself. It could probably carry every other snowrunner truck in its dump compartment. It's Payload is literally 10x that of the 770G, the current biggest truck in snowrunner.

@@Aiden-tt2fm It can have a crane w/saddle, crane w/flatbed & trailer, it's American, it has more add-on availability, it has more variety of tires (chained, especially). It's a lot more usable than the 605R. The 605R is great but Derry Special is even better.

I don't think is a fair-play race, as it would need to compare all aspect = how much time you spend to get them as they are Free, cost money, how they pull a trailer in uphill, Fuel consumption, what upgrades they have, tires, as zikz have special tires that have bonus in mud, how they perform in ice in amur, as we all know about zikz, in ice is keep going, and most of all, what adons or what it can do, as The moust powerfull is kolob, but not much people use them, right? My opinion, if these two trucks go one with another Will be a winer combo, as one have better tires and other minicrane ;) until now i was using zikz 605r with azov 73210

I'll be using the, I think there called MHS II. My favourite Mudtire in the game. Chains don't really matter to me, the ice benefit rarely outweighs the loss of mud performance. Between 100% all of Alaska, Kola, Maine and Amur I think I used chained like once or something in Amur to haul a Don up a icy goat trail to it's drop off point. Usually icy spots are flat enough you don't need chains, you can find snow grip by hugging the guardrails and staying on the edge/side of the road, or you can find alternate routes up the rare hill that's actually to slick to get over. So yeah I run the mudtires, it's easier to circumvent ice then circumvent mud/snow. But, it is always nice when the option is there for chains. I might never use them, but I know others do. So more options the better.

This is pretty much why I have tweaked all the gamefiles. Russian devs tend to do this kind of thing, where everything Russian is just miles better than anything else. A modern military truck designed in 1980 is less capable than a truck designed in 1960. In the soviet union. Just for reference, when in the west people were driving around in mercedes cars, in the eastern block people were driving trabants, warburgs, and the rich people had ladas. I know because my grandparents are Hungarian. There was nothing superior to the soviet vehicles, the quality was real damn bad. My grandpas trabant would boil up the coolant on every damn hill, and the car had to be push started 50% of the time because even the batteries were terrible. Truck balance in this game is kind of a joke.

Zikz is still top dawg... the Derry is a very flippy truck like the twinsteers on lifted suspensions... toss on the active lift it's a useless truck! Needs all steer!

These tests don't mean much because the trucks are being run unloaded; and these aren't race cars, they're trucks meant to carry cargo, so how they work when carrying cargo is what's important. Tests should have the trucks loaded as they would be when being used (always test anything the way it will be in use or in a more demanding scenario, not less). If tested with a load appropriate to their design, the Derry would be carrying more, which in itself is a kind of "win", but you could at least see how well they each work under a load. Or, if tested with a significant but equal load on both, I would expect to see an advantage for the Derry because it has a more powerful engine and is designed for bigger loads.

Their tire grip coefficient is 20% higher than others, and there is always-on differential and all-wheel drive, which can be used in any gear, while 15c177 can only be used in three low-speed gears.Even the fuel consumption is only half that of the paystar5600 with the same weight and power .....Maybe Russian trucks have advanced alien civilization technology, or American trucks have oil leaks in their fuel tanks!

Comparing it to the 605r was a mistake, since the ziks is a s+, and the new derry is just an a+ (or something like that i saw)... He should have had compared it to the other 2 derry'es, since all are the same a+ power-to-weight, but then we might have seen the same performances (hence the same a+ on all 3 of them), and that is not really "up selling" a new truck to the audience... Neither comparing the new derry, with the 605r did it justice.. The conclusion I had from watching this video, is that the new derry longhorn truck is just another overpriced reskin to the one we saved in white valley (which I did sell after towing it to the garage, with me 10 weeler azov heavy crane truck)... Its slower (but comparable to the other 2 derry'es, it might be as slow), its as weaker in mud/snow, only benefit is it can have more add-ons, where the other 2 only have the long log carrier front, and the 2 saddles... But the add-ons don't make me throw away about 300k in snowrunner cash... The azov 10x10 is still cheaper, has the same add-ons (or even more, since you can have the sideboard bed + crane + trailer), has better mud/snow performance, has 6 weel steer (so you don't need a whole map to turn)!
