Just habit probably… if someone has been watching football for 60 years they’re not gonna swap it for another favorite I guess. I don’t get it, I’ve tried both and ultimate was just superior in every way(for my experience)

Marketing. And familiarity. I am sure not many Americans know about this as a stadium sports. It is not one of the "big money" sports and therefore will not be a stadium filler for multiple decades.

Realistically speaking it's just less funded and has less of a pipeline. More money is in football so more people try to play it and it attracts the best athletes. It's a circular problem since there's nothing intrinsically wrong with the sport

I looked up this game just now, at the swimming pool chatting with a guy about it I couldn't grasp the concept, but I got it in the first few seconds of the video. Very entertaining sport to watch and to play...I would have loved to dive and try to catch that disk 60 years ago, now I am 70 and I only catch at the Disco.

how many steps can you take after catching the frisbee?

It's momentum based so if you were standing still none but if you were running then you just take as many as it takes to slow down. However as long as travels not called you can take an extra step.There's also a separate mechanic known as pivoting where you keep your left foot planted and pivot off it.

Feels a bit like Football with the ball set to slow motion, if you know what I mean. The frisbee just hangs in the air for so damn long, it gives much more time to battle it out on the ground. Kinda neat!

It's very easy sports , I played first time and I mastered it with 4-5 trickshots + high turnover points(extreme bending due to angular rotational effect of air resistance confined to end sharp region) .👍👍it's very intersting thing and for physical activity 👍
