As soon as I can get some ammo, I will go to the range and try the two finger grip on the trigger frame. Listen to Lena, I'm mildly deaf from not using hearing protection in a factory environment during my youth. It's not as simple as losing your hearing over time. Even though I started using hearing protection in my 40's, at 50 I started getting tinnitus (ringing in the ears). At 64 the tinnitus is so bad it that in a quiet room it sounds like the chorus of frogs in spring. I can hear most people fine, it's just that I can't make out what they are saying through the background noise. conversation sounds like a foreign language in many cases, especially TV if the volume is too low. To keep from raising the volume to stupid levels, I now have to use subtitles. It really does impact your life. I say this because nobody explained to me in my youth what really happens. I hope to help young readers of this comment to avert hearing loss and thank Lena for pointing out the importance of hearing protection. It's not just for the shooting range.

Lena may have a shooting influence in her parents who are both incredible in their own aspects, but Lena didn't magically acquire her skill and drive. She's put in the time and effort, insanely hard work to get to be this successful. She's certainly brings that energy to the session and gets you motivated to get up and get shooting. I look forward to years of her bringing training tips and advice to shooters new and old alike. One thing she does have in common with her parents is she'll be a huge influence on moving the shooting community to be better trained and promoting the sport in a positive light. Go Lena go!

Regarding her grip, never hesitate to try something new! Fosbury was laughed at for his high-jump flop--now everybody does it. The opposite is also true: Jack Weaver dominated using his "Weaver Stance." For a time everybody copied him. Now, virtually no one uses the Weaver stance, but...it doesn't mean Jack was wrong, because it worked FOR HIM! Experiment. Practice. Decide. Don't let anybody's mocking affect your decision. Rick Barry shot free throws granny style in the NBA. He retired with the best free throw shooting percentage in the history of the game. Carry on.

Protip: When you hit the range, warm up with 10min of dry fire! It will help you conserve ammo and work on your trigger pull. Remember, the only people who suck with guns are the ones who don't have the patience to learn proper technique.

First off, who in the world clicks a thumbs down dislike on a video like this? This is the second one of Lena's videos that I have seen and I don't know what else that you could ask for. Clear, crisp, concise and practical. Part of me wishes that we could have seen the final result on the paper plate targets. But, it might just make me feel that much more of the practice I need.

This a good solid training workout with a low number of rounds. I like using .22 caliber pistol to warm up with. After that I usually switch to something larger for another set of drills. This way I am warmed up when my ammo costs more.

This is a GREAT video because FMJ practice rounds are @ 20¢ apiece as it is at this time of posting, and because of the current climate of hoarding ammo (guilty as charged!), it is VERY hard to find locally in most places in the US right now. Massive kudos to Lena for helping us maximize our time and limiting our expense at the range! All I was disappointed in was that she never said what kind of pizza she and her dad ordered before they filmed this segment...
