Heavy steering, tyre pressures. These bikes don't like standard tyre pressures. Go to F 36psi and R 40 psi and all will be sorted beautifully!

iv got a t595 daytona converted to speed triple and find the brakes brilliant and it handles excellent definitely sharpr than my old zx9r e1.not as quick as the kwaka but a nicer bike to ride.

Plastic tanks are prone to expansion and leaks due to ethanol in most petrols. My mate has a 99 Speed Triple 955, had to replace the tank as it got so bad. Either put ethanol free premium unleaded, Esso and BP in most areas or use something like Putaline E10 Fuel Fighter.

Yes it's a massive issue on the Triumphs, I had it on my 955i Daytona too :/

I used my on track a lot (2002 model) and didn't experience the strange steering. Only issues were brake fade on track, slow steering and stable steering like the Daytona and the slightly to slow throttle response out of tight corners. Apart from that my favourite bike of all time

It actually turned to be the simple fix on the steering, tyre pressure was too low at the front, was perfect after that :)

@@Spartansrule118 I'd say so just watch the plastic connectors on the fuel pump, change to metal one if you can as there esay to break when removing the tank. Only problem I've ever had on 3x daytona 955 and 1x speed triple 955.

I had a 2002 one in black. Getting replacement plastics is a swine for these. I spent 3 years sourcing a new nose fairing and eventually imported one and resprayed it. I agree on the rear brakes, they are freaky poor plus the steering can be a bit heavy. Most likely the head bearings are notchy. Lift the front and see how smoothly the steering moves. I loved the feel of mine though, much better than my sports tourers I previously had and it just felt properly poised. Only flogged it when the fuel lines ruptured... replaced with a 2015 in red :).

I am! but that doesn't mean to say I have lost my love of bikes buddy ;) making them look a little better is all part of the fun, there is time enough for me to get a BMW GS1200 and start touring around the Alps lol

mine fell over and bent break lever into about that position i just bent it back out. the back break on this bike is nie on useless anyhow [whatever were tryuph thinking] personaly i can't wait to get back to a gsxr 600 witch in my oppinion would piss all over this sad bike

No I didn't sell it with the odd issue, I thought I mentiioned in another video... that the issue turned out to be simply low air pressure in the front tyre 😁

@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes i bought a red daytona 2005 21k none runner last owner died he had it 15 years lovely condition fell for her so recommisioned her shes now my second bime to complement my 72 plate gsa i have had 2 sprints before 955 and 1050 and they were quite nice this daytona is going speed triple as i struggle with clipons but all daytona parts will be stored in my loft so i can put her back together later down the line

You mean bar end mirrors and some wheel decals? Can't really see how that has ruined anything, but I do know some are not fans of wheel decals, and I have stopped fitting those now :)
