Hi Anders, I purchased the black version approximately 3 months ago, and I love wearing this watch. It is my second Certina watch, and I have to say that this brand is just not recognised buy most bloggers. All they care about is Rolex, Omega and Seiko. What fools they are as they are missing a world of watches from Certina!

Personally I hate Seiko. I don't know why, I'm sure they have a lot of fine timepieces, but I can't rationalize they say go above $500 when they have excellent choices for under $200. I promise myself I would no longer purchase watches under $600 because they all seem like toys.

Love certina. Good customer service and quality of watch is underrated for the money. I got the first gen ds action diver new old stock over the second gen because I loved how it looked. This looks great too. The ceramic bezel gives a premium look. Now I’m contemplating if I should get this too since they perfected it.

Some interesting comments on this one Anders 🤔 Certina make great watches. I’ve owned them in the past and was very impressed. To the point where they’d even taken the time to polish inside the lugs so when I removed the bracelet to place the watch on a strap it was nicely polished rather than brushed or rough like most. There were a few other details on the watch that made me realise they’d gone the extra step. This one looks nice - like it could serve a lifetime for a regular guy haha if you know what I mean. I’m not a huge fan of the clasp though as it has no micro adjust and because of the on the fly adjustment it always looks a little bulky but lots of collectors do enjoy them so could just be me 😜 You’re killing it lately with some great pieces. I have the 38mm version in green and love it. I prefer the size and shade of green (the 38 is much more of a vivid green and has a sunburst dial), even if it doesn't have the ceramic bezel nor the same awesome clasp. I just can't wear 43. Certina is awesome!

@Account Name it definitely is, but I dont think it would work well on the 38mm version. It is just too big/long. But the clasp on the 38 should definitely be improved - should be milled ln the outside and have a better divers extension and more micro adjustments. But id rather have the bezel upgraded to ceramic rather than the clasp. Still it is a great watch as it is and an awesome value proposition for a swiss diver (especially one that is ISO certified to 300m - at 38mm thats pretty impressive and unique). And it can be found for like 200 less than the 43mm versions.

I have a couple of Certinas great watches! I initially purchased the titanium but returned it as didn’t like the colour of the plots. I ordered the Blue version and was very impressed apart from the split pins on the bracelet as they lack friction. Love to see a titanium version with green dial👍

That green is absolutely sick. I love it. And 43mm is big, but i notice this watch is not towering on top of your wrist, it's hugging it nicely.

Beautiful watch. I think I might buy it myself. What I would love to see from Certina though is the same clasp on 38 mm version and/or a 40 mm watch instead of this 43 mm chunk of steel. It’s reaaaaally a good job. But in 40 mm it would be a total no brainer.

I have this feeling that there's some reason that most Swiss watch companies can't come out with a 40mm dive watch. I heard there's lawsuits from Rolex. It doesn't make any sense to me that these watch companies come out with these weird sizes. I think it's pretty much agreed upon that 39mm - 41mm is the perfect size for an every day wear dive watch. Take Tissot Seastar, looks like a great watch. Their new sizes? 36mm and 43mm, makes no sense.

@@jewblin5305 Yes I'm not sure what patent laws entail but I'm sure if it were to help Rolex with their exclusivity, they'll hire the best lawyers. Yea idk about the case size. It just seems odd to me that most brands don't really touch a certain size or look. You're right though, there are other options.

I was considering the Logines model but then they ruined it by putting numerals on it! There is one without but I don't need a GMT complication and it pushes up the price by £1000/euros. @@jewblin5305

Great review and look at the watch. This informed my purchase of the black version-after 1+ year, there doesn't seem to be anything on the market for the price that is of comparable quality, especially with regards to the clasp. I paid £625/around 720 euro for mine!.😀

I owned a Certina DS2 years ago and it let me down. After a couple of years ownership it let in seawater while surfing, which ruined it of course. I was really disappointed, as it was my first "quality" watch, and I loved it.

Thanks for review. Today I tried both the 38 and 43mm versions. 38mm is too small for my taste. And I was surprised that the l2l distance of the 43mm model was not at all too long for my 17cm wrist. Do I recall correct, or has it been ~53mm for the 43mm model? Is one of the improvements shorter l2l?

I measure it at 50-51 mm. The bracelet may add a bit. I put it on a rubberstrap making the watch wear smaller.

@@FuturisticMaestro Why is it a rip off? It’s basically the same company using the same colour on two of their models. Within Swatch Group they also share movements. That is just natural for such a big group. By the way; Certina unveiled their new collection including the green in February and Omega inveiled the green in March. So in fact Omega are ripping Certina off 😉😂
