I got my optic as a crawler and boi does it surprise when setup as one front weight good servo, phoenix transmission for 46OD tire inserts. It feels like the bushido I had didnt look like it did much but surprised on all 😂 But yes as a choosing stance will out of box crawl better 💯 optic is just one of those build to suit your need 🤔

I really love the looks of the Optic. They did better on it than Axial ever did with the Bomber. I kind of just want to make one go FAST now...

@@RoadsideRC i got mine with a mamba X and a 2850kv slate motor on 4s it hauls but also climbs nice best of both to say you do have to upgrade the diffs tho they shred easy (sintered metal)

do those spaghetti links bend from the Stance? or are those thinks flexible and flex back to their form/shape? im in a dilemma.. i want to buy my first rtr crawler

Hi there! They do both - they flex and bounce back...until they take too big of a hit. It is basically the ONLY weak spot on the truck, and Vanquish offers the thicker links in a kit to get you back and running quickly.

Just saw my old friend Josh, he looked exactly like you lol. Never got to quiz him lol. Great comparison. Stance is like supposed to be a compncrawler right? H10 looks more scale trail. Choose your fancy comp crawler light with not best looking body well for performance, vs all that scale gooodness cage front axle etc I’d get an optic but have to many lcg rigs already lol

Yes! I think it ends up being a little bit different use cases. Both are really nice trucks.

Interesting take, thanks for another video. So with your thought of the optic being more of a bouncer type, what do you think about the weRCrock crowd that crawl their caged buggies? Aren't most 1:1 caged buggies in real life more leaning towards rock climbing vs rock bouncing? Not a criticism just opening up some discussion. I don't own an optic myself yet btw. Thanks for the content!

1:1 is very different with crawling - because you have to protect the human inside. That ends up meaning something like a cage is mandatory...and a cage-only vehicle ends up being the best performance you can get...while still protecting the squishy human. In RC - we clearly don't need to worry about that - so we can get rid of all of that weight. The weRCrock crowd is focused on scale realism and copying the We Rock 1:1 crowd.

Cool comparrison. Would have been cool to put the Stance wheel tire combo on the Optic and vice versa to see how that changed things. Everyone talks about a heavy cage compared to a lexan body but then forget to add in the weight of the frame rails, servo and mount and the cross braces with the lexan body. I lost 1.2 pounds of spung mass converting my 10.2 to a Capra cage and SOA and when copared the cage and Cliffhanger body/Bomber interior with the same scale accesories was within ounces.

Interesting point! Thanks for sharing! I can 100% see how the total weight lexan vs cage is similar - but it also comes to WHERE that weight is. When a lot of that weight is on the chassis and more biased to the front (servo) - it is a lot lower than the cage is. I don't have a good way to test the total COG height, but it would be really interesting to see. My next plans for this Stance is to go to a carbon fiber chassis - so that will also help a lot.

The h10 has a slightly wider axle as well. So straights and wider definitely hurts it against the portal stance. My carbon with an outrunner and the stubby/behind the axle is a straight beast.

This one isnt my thing, but it looks really nice! I am more of a crawler type. :D Speaking of crawlers, did you see the new verrrrry expensive Spektrum iXSR? Wow its expensive.
