The 'servo input wire' plug that you soldered onto the camera's wire in place of its old plug...is that the same plug that is already on the Spotter V2 FPV AIO Camera? And so is that camera something that you could just plug straight into an esc? (i.e. would it let you skip the soldering step and just plug that camera straight into the esc?) I'm thinking about ordering that camera + goggles combo off of Amazon for $139. Also, you said you plugged yours into your receiver. Is that because you have an esc/receiver combo on that vehicle?

Thanks for your input! I am looking for a crawler/trail rig for my wife. I like the Redcat gen8 but the stock motor looks a bit punchy. Considering adding a HW Fusion motor/esc and radiomaster mt12 radio.

Troy, I just checked the website and you can also order just the lower upgraded links for the Stance as well (Replacement Lower links for the VPS09015 VRD Carbon) No sense in buying the entire link set at this stage - or you can still run 410 links on the Stance. I am sure they'll be fine

I hope you are right!! I looked alla round for which link set was the right one for this truck. The folks on the Vanquish Facebook group said this was the right set...but clearly it is not. I have updated the link in the video description to point to the set you suggested. Thanks!

@RoadsideRC yes you got the wrong links. You want IRC00305 not IRC00303. Your link even says they are for the vs410 not the stance. Going directly to vanquish website would have helped the most

You could install little mirrors on each side that are angled down to show where your front tires are contacting the ground; that would help with crawling. I think this is perfect for short course racing. I've been experimenting with it on a micro scale on indoor tracks and it's pretty exhilarating. It's shocking to me how few views this video got. Maybe the time is right for a current state-of-the-art update that would also link back to this older video. I'd love to see how you'd do an fpv project today, given the currently available tech. I've experimented with taping micro fpv cars to the top of bigger vehicles, and the results look like what you had in this video. It's super fun. I've also considered getting a cheap fpv drone and securing it to the top of my cars. Or even a $600 one. But instead I think I'll step up into the ~$600 range of dedicated equipment ($300 for goggles and $300 for camera/gimbal/transmitter/etc); a few people around youtube have posted recent videos of that level of equipment, and the results are pretty awesome. Colorful 4k clarity, greater range, and head tracking awesomeness :)

That kit does help - but DO NOT recommend it. The kit helps, but does not fix some of the fundamental issues with the Tamiya. Instead, you can put that money towards a proper drift chassis. As an example, the brand new 3Racing Sakura D6 is a GREAT chassis and is around $115.

@JosephPerito The whole front steering geometry is wrong for drifting. To fix it - you have to go beyond just the Yeah Racing kit. It involves redesigning the front linkages, etc. As a spec-racer at your local track, it is perfect!
