In today's video, I'm going to show you how to make the best vegan mapo tofu. Mapo tofu is one of the most popular and classic chinese dishes from the sichuan region of China. The Sichuan pepercorn makes the dish so mouth numbing and that flavor and feel will be your next new addiction! Unlike most other vegan recipes, this is going to be the most authentic vegan version of the classic, beloved mapo tofu. No mushrooms or chickpeas, but I'm going to be using textured vegetable protein - a vegan meat alternative. This is going to be SO MEATY. It is super easy, simple to make, and spicy and so flavorful. I just discovered your channel. You do a very good job narrating and preparing your mise en place. Just a note, you say olive oil is a healthy oil but it’s not. No oil is healthy as a processed food. It’s been found by evidence based science that olive oil and coconut oil are the worse for humans health wise. I’m not suggesting you stop using it, just suggesting you don’t say they’re healthy. That’s a marketing thing we all believed. Myself included. Keep up the good work. I’m recreating some of your recipes for sure
