The best thing about Sanchon is their traditional Korean performances which start at 8 pm daily. Please check as you reserve. Make a reservation at 7 and watch the performance after dinner and take photos with the dancers. It’s such a treat at no extra cost, probably the reason for their priciness.

I tried to find the first restaurant and never did and ended up going to the second one (Seoul only has so many vegan restaurants doing traditional (or any) Korean food) and Insadong is not the easiest place to navigate either. I happened to get the same thing you got. I think the courses are rather standardized. But I do recommend the (2nd) temple cooking place. It is not as much of a comfort food experience as compared to other Korean cuisine, but it is very clean and cannot be missed if you are vegan and are in Seoul. I’ve asked been to the one at 14:00. I’d recommend it if you want to save a little money and a big appetite, but I probably won’t go back. It sort of reminded me of a church dinner, but it’s a real bargain if you come ready to eat. The pancake was really good though. I also went to Plant (21:30). There is (was) also a good smaller cafe-style western style vegan restaurant near there (in Itaewon) halfway up on a hill (it is/was on Happy cow).
