Thanks John, and thank you Dave as well! This channel, its owner, and it's content are a never ending supply of information. I've recommended it to dozens of people, and that's coming from a hermit! Please keep it up, and know that YOU have inspired me to start my own garden (of which I had no prior experience), start a small fruit tree orchard (again no experience), and now as of two weeks ago I have two trays of microgreens (one tray of sunflowers that have their third/fourth leaves coming in, and a tray of pea sprouts looking great). Again, thanks to both of you, and please keep teaching us! There's so much to learn still, and so much more I want to see!

Hey John, I watched this video yesterday on my smart tv. I can't comment from there. This video really impressed me, I've been doing a few micro greens. I've recently had a couple of failures. This video has encouraged me to keep it up. I live in a small upstairs apartment. But, I have tons of house plants. I've had a lot of success with them. Thank you and Gil for inspiring me. I am going to buy a juicer and include fresh veggie juice in my daily diet. Thank you. I can tell you are very passionate about what you do. Julia M.

John, Thanks for being such an inspiration. You've been a great help with the information you share and now I'm in the process of modifying my postage stamp sized backyard to grow (in the Back to Eden method) and may be able to plant a small area next year if things work right. (I'm currently in the middle of remodeling my house so priorities are focused mostly on that project finishing up.) In the meantime, I've decided to build shelves for growing in a huge bay window in my kitchen. So this video is very timely! Similar to the window you feature, mine doesn't get a lot of sun. But it faces NE so I figured it would be great for lettuces and cut-and-come-again veggies, and now it looks like it might for greens as well. Maybe you could give me some input on the configuration of the shelves. I'm planning on putting them across the center window of the big bay window. The shelves would be about 38" long and about 9" deep, covering a window that is about 70" tall (the top shelf will be under the ceiling of the bay window so would need the same headspace). What would be the optimum spacing between the shelves? I know different plants will require different heights, so I'm working on a way to make them adjustable. But figuring out the optimum average height will help me figure out how many shelves I should build (IKEA hack, actually). I'm thinking 4 shelves spaced about 14" apart will be optimum for this opening while also allow the growing of some cat grass on the floor beneath the shelves so (hopefully) they will leave the other greens alone. LOL Any input would be appreciated. Thanks again! Love the channel!

Thank you for all of your informational videos! I am new to growing microgreens in my home in cold northern Idaho. My question is how to you catch the water drainage from the trays with holes in your soil wheatgrass trays? I really want to use soil for my microgreens but have not seen a video of how to catch the water. I have a laminate floor in my dining room where the rack will be located. Do you put a solid tray under the tray with holes or do you let the water drip on the rack and catch it on the bottom? Thanks again for all of your videos!

This has encouraged me to try sprouting seeds again. I’m 65 and I’ve tried sprouting a few times in my life and have failed every time I’ve tried it. Last time I bought a sprouting kit with soy seeds from a health food store. As usual, the seeds would start to smell and rot instead of sprouting. I followed the instructions, but not working for me.

Obviously--judging by their tastes expressed there--something of a "designer" task! But, WOW what an opportunity upon a surface...boring, otherwise? Indeed, a certral grow "pond": planters here and there, too? A "work-in-progress", maybe...?
