Sorry for your discovery. About 2 weeks ago a monkey pulled up my biggest lettuce, it wasn't quite ready to be harvested and also a stick of cassava. I sprinkled cayenne powder he returned following day pulled another lettuce and dropped it on the ground. Thankfully I haven't seen it since. I hope you discover your culprit.

Wow!! a monkey, so sorry to hear that Do you have them wild in your country? I’m still not sure what it was but I believed it was a big ole rat, because one day I went out and while I was approaching one of the barrels to the side of the house, I saw something jumped out and ran away…I placed a big rock in the barrel and the next day my radish was gone😏 I haven’t seen it since though and is now taking extra precautions to protect & prevent future occurrences 🙂

Chives IS the easiest herb to grow! I just use the bottoms of the ones I get fromthe farmers market and they grow forever🤣🤣🤣Last year I got to see the beautiful flowers for the first time, even my mama couldnt believe it was chives. I also regrow my cabbages and lettuces from the farmer market and my cabbage gaved me 3 heads from the same plant! Be encouraged, this too shall pass! Watching from Brasil.

I’m h my goodness Wanu, welcome, welcome, welcome and thank you so much for the feedback; you just made my day. I’m gonna go searching for some at the farmers market or at a nursery, whichever place I find first. Happy gardening 🧑🌾 And have a great day over there in Brazil😀

No offense, but those of us in Zone 6 and above are chuckling at you all in the Southern states talking about the cold. We are dealing with single digit temps and can only wish for the temperatures you all are having. 😂😂😂
