Jenn, you covered more in 40 minutes than the hours I wasted watching others. I'm 71 years old and brand new to fcpx. I needed those closeups and clear explanations to show me what to do. Watch, pause, take notes. Thank you Jenn, and God bless you for this tutorial.

Thanks Jenn this is just what I needed to slowly get back into the video game…. I am Simi-retired no job at the moment, living off a modest pension and savings but I needed something like this video to ease and simplify the basics of what I need from FCP.. I am currently in the middle of upgrading my Pro tools education by taking classes at Berklee for their certificate program…,so that my main focus, mentally at the moment. I subscribed to your channel today and look forward to advancing my FCP and other film making skills. Old Man CRUNCH has just received a blessing.. from God …so glad I found you on the Tube📺

Excellent value to your audience...great video! As a beginner in video content creation, I have watched about 40 hrs of tutorial videos on FCPX to help me kick start my brand and business. And by far this is the most simple and useful I have come across. Also, I enjoy your style of teaching. I absolutely will be purchasing your FCPX training course! Thank you

Ok, I’m all in on your Final Cut Rock Star course!! As a veteran educator, I recognize the value of learning from people with expertise and experience (quite a combination). Add to that someone who is an incredibly effective communicator and teacher working with a “hands on” type of course… I can’t pass this up!! Jenn, I view this as an incredible opportunity to learn from someone offering all of the above! I’m pretty new to all this, and I figure that learning from you will really help my learning curve with FCPX. After taking your Doodly course, I have made a few “remote learning” videos for my kids. My students and colleagues have been telling me that they love them. Your instruction saved me so much time learning all this on my own. I know that this is a long “comment,” but I want you to know that I appreciate the incredible value of your courses! Thanks so much!!!

Jen... very good video. It definitely will help beginning video editors from becoming overwhelmed when they open Final Cut. But I am wondering why you chose Final Cut instead of a program like Davinci Resolve. I am just learning Davinci Tesolve and it appears to do everything you showed here. The BIG differences between the two programs appears to be that Davinci Resolve runs on Windows (but there are versions for Linix and Mac I think) and Davinci is free. Can you give me some feedback on where I might run into problems with Davinci ... and what things you can do with Final Cut that I will not be able to do with Davinci?
@JennJager4 жыл бұрын
Hi, the free version of DaVinci Resolve is missing a lot of features like noise reduction, 4K and 8K support, blur effects, automatic color balancing and color reduction and a lot of other features. The paid version, DaVinici Resolve Studio has all that but also costs $299, about the same as Final Cut Pro X. What I like about FCPX is that it also integrates with Apple Motion which is an animation program I use every day. Plus I'm a big Apple person :)
