You are hilarious and wise in being cautious in avoid upsetting your viewers (its never worth risking your brand for a cheap throwaway joke). Great work showing viewers the various levels of stabilization. Good work communicating the limitations of the lens. I find that the lens is great for run-and-gun interviews when you want to capture 2 people talking next to each other while out around town.

Noi, if I owned a Full-Frame Sony....I would definitely get this lens! Love the fact that even with Active Stabilization, you still have a decent focal length. It's nice to not have to worry about a Gimbal if you had a Sony!

100% right! This lens is a must for vloggers. I still think 16mm is the perfect focal length for FF. Hardly any distortion and good focal distance.

Thank you for showcasing this lens and I always enjoy your humor! Please do more videos of the dynamic stabilization and this lens, so I can gage how good it is! Its a dream for my own dance video content to be able to film handheld without a gimbal, while maintaining a wide angle so I can still do dynamic camera movement!

Thanks so much :) I would say if you're trying to capture smooth dynamic shots then dynamic stability on this camera isn't going to cut it. What I would suggest is to grab the Viltrox 16mm and utilize the autoframing capbilities of the ZV-E1. I found that this workd really well when I'm capturing my Muay Thai footage. I tried using the Laowa lens with autoframing but it distorted the edges too much.

I'm using a sony 11 f1.8 right now and have been looking for a ZVE1 ultra wide angle lens, I've been looking for a reference on cropped footage since this lens came out, this review is fantastic!

I didn't like it at first, but when you showed your vacation scenes in letterbox with multiple people, I loved it. I bought the A6700 by the way. Took it to Disney and didn't even use it because I had too much going on. One scene. I think I have S-Log3 down though.

Didn't you buy the camera just for Disney lol! Ya the lens is nice most of the time. It will most likely be my default vlogging lens. It's weird sometimes but it's so light that it's enjoyable to vlog with, unlike my 16mm Viltrox lens. Definitely take the time to learn S-Log3. It will elevate your videos for sure.

@@noisackda2564 Yep! Actually I think I bought it because I have GAS. Lol. No really, it's a huge improvement in the ZV-E10, even if you're just looking at 10-bit slog3 and the ibis. I re-watched your coloring video, pausing at times and ended up picking up the Phantom Luts which are a game changer. I couldn't get the Leeming Luts to work well.

I remember Laowa being the few companies who produced really ultra wide lenses, but a few years ago they were all manual focus. Me personally will stick with my Pocket 3 for vlogging style videos. It’s until today the smallest camera setup kinda comfortable to vlog with (but I’m still somehow scared about doing it 😅). Hope you are doing well my friend!

You know I prefer making videos within a tight timeline. It keeps me from overthinking which leads to a more natural video. This is Laowa's first autofocus lens and they nailed it. Beautifulconstructionn too. You can tell they put a lot of effort into this one. I know what you mean about feeling shy vlogging. I've sort of gotten over it because it's so accepted nowadays but it does still feel very weird at times. I'm doing great :) Hope you and your family are doing well also.

@@noisackda2564 Oh man, just saw this was aps-c. I thought it was FF. Yeah, the Laowa is probably the only one. That's another reason I stayed in APS-C. All of the FF lenses are almost as heavy as an APS-C camera.

I've never run into a low light situation a prime lens on an APS-C can't handle, except when I test. Eventually I'll upgrade to FF though.
