Presently have Hoka after trying many different ones. I have flat feet these work best for me. Not for everyone. I was told years ago to always buy a second pair once you find the first pair work beautifully for you. And then don’t wear the same ones every day. This makes your shoes last longer in several different ways.giving your Shoes a chance to “relax” for a day, allows them to be in the best form. I have found this to be true with sandals, and other shoes that I love. I usually buy them in a different color. Thank you for this wonderful video!

Oh the money this year I have spent on walking shoes. I walk 6-7 miles each morning. Hoka Clifton’s which I wore for 2 weeks made my legs and feet feel so tired. Never found a Nike that felt good even in the store. The go walks didn’t feel stable enough for the miles . The Brooks Adrenaline were really good but then I found the Ghost16 were like heaven. I left out some of the other brands just for space sake. All this being said it’s the hard job of what works for you.

I have 2 Hokas. Bondi 8 and Clifton 9 and both are terrific for my feet as I have plantar fasciitis. I recommend them greatly. They may be pricey but the quality is the best.

I don’t know about the quality. I bought a pair of Clifton 9’s a year ago and they are falling apart. I walk 3 miles every day, which doesn’t seem like it should wear out the shoes that fast. They are comfortable, but IMO not built to last very long. I won’t be rebuying Hokas.

If you have problem feet, you have to experiment with each brand (all are good). What works for one may not work for another. For 2 decades, I have suffered with arthritis in my feet. I can no longer walk bare foot & if I don't have the correct sneaker I can only stand on my feet for about 4 hours. After that, the joints & tendons in my feet are in excruciating pain. So debilitating & depressing. At work, I do anywhere from 6,000 steps to 9,000 a day. Hoka (their most padded sneaker in wide width) works astounding well for me. I can go all day without much discomfort. Once I take them off and put my bare foot down on the floor, then I hurt & limp around. I need that high stacked heel to help my foot roll as I walk. Any shoe that is flat, as this video is suggesting, causes serious foot pain for me. Hoka has the best wedged sole for my foot issues. New Balance, it's been awhile since I bought them. They were just okay on my feet. By 1:00 PM, my feet were stressed & that was with their most cushioned sneaker. I do see that they have come out with a newer style called Fresh Foam 1080 v12, which I might try. Brooks, I had 2 pairs in the past, and they are a BIG NO for my feet. The heel isn't high enough, and there isn't enough padding in for the balls of my feet. If you have serious foot issues, don't buy Brooks. Where I work, so many coworkers have turn to Hoka for that all day comfort. There are a few older men who like the New Balance foam cushioned styles, and one coworker who can only wear Brooks. All of us are on our feet pretty much for 7 1/2 hours & Hoka cushion sneakers seem to be the WINNERS for us! FYI, my doctor loves them, too.

👍👍👍🌷Thank you for your information! I have natural arch problem. I tried all brand name shoes which you advised, except Hoka. My friend recommended Hoka to me. Do you think Hoka shoes can help to release natural arch problems?

I can't do a zero drop shoe. My favorite running shoes are ASICS, for hiking I go with Salomon Speedcross trail runners, though I have Salomon hiking boots as well. I know people who love zero drop but my feet and legs prefer the heel to be elevated slightly. We're all different, there is no one shoe that's best for everyone.

During the pandemic I started walking. A LOT. I wore out my old brooks and went to the rack to see what they had. I bought 2 pair of adidas and changed them every other day. The soles wore out in 3 months (at that time I was only walking 6 miles a day). By 6 months I was walking 9 miles a day and tried a New Balance in the mix (with another adidas ). The New Balance lasted 4 months. I replaced the adidas with an Asic shoes. They lasted 5 months. Then Hokas showed up at the rack. Only the New Balance and Asic had comfy metatarsal cushioning until the Hokas. I LOVE those shoes. They lasted the longest. If I can’t find Hokas on sale I’ll look into Brooks, Asic or New Balance. I go through so many shoes a year!

I given up on ladies shoes due to their narrow fit on foot and ankle. As I am a U.K. 7, I can go to men’s trainers as standard width is perfect. I used to buy new balance but the extreme difficulty in finding the black style 624 in stock is now non existent. So after being happy with the brand for over 30 years I now have gone elsewhere for my trainers. They are not so good and don’t last as long but if a company can’t supply the so called most popular style they have anymore, they don’t deserve customers.
