I've been wanting the Phoibus (pronounced fee-bus I believe) Apollo titanium with the light blue face for a while now, but it's been out of stock everywhere for at least six months. My current favorite watch is a Cronos sub-mariner homage with the PT-5000 high beat movement. It's been flawless for 2 years.

I've been watching them for age's ,the wave master,a little to big and slab sided,the voyager new version is beautiful but I find myself looking at the MOP version but to blingy 🥺 then I seen the black and grey version of the Apolo and it's fresh,well outside the box but man🤯 great content man😎👍

Crown at 8 so must be worn on right wrist for Lefties.I wonder, if you remove the movement, pull the hands and see if the mounting pins would be set uniformly so you could turn the dial face 180 degrees. That would allow the crown to be at 2 pm position and worn on the left wrist.

I'm not sure. I wore it on my left wrist. I only wind and set with it off my wrist though so I guess it doesn't really matter for me. would be interesting to see. their latest Apollo have the crown at 4 now

I'm the kinda guy who does not favor certain Blues in Watch Dial's as Blues go...I like this one My personal observation on its design is the left hand adjustment is due to when wrist flexing upward the stem tends to dig in uncomfortably. The Blue doesn't exhibit that tasteless flash represented by many or gouache choice of Blues. The Brushed exterior is an excellent choice as a statement and compliments the overall look. IMO. I'm sure the Satin finish looks great in real life, but as the material is 316 Stainless, chosen I'm sure for it ability to not react is sort of an issue. Stainless contrary to what people think is a soft metal thus susceptible to scratches.

Just started the video and my comment has little to do with the Apollo. But I’m a huge fan of Phoibos, (and I think you’re suppose to emphasize each O). I heard about them through Mark & Long Island Watches as well. I bought the Wavemaster on a rubber strap, so it doubles up the awesome octopus logos, with two more on the strap. Absolutely love the watch. It has the black dial with orange and teal numbers and hands. But I also have a recommendation for you. To try Pagani Design again. I bought my first one, the Explorer II Polar homage, Gen 2, and am blown away by the quality. They tweaked the hands to make them longer and more accurate, added a screw down crown, and include a correctly sized screwdriver for the bracelet adjustments. And I was able to land it for $86. I almost want to start my own watch channel just to make a video about it… then the rest of my watches.

I have 2 Phoibos watches and they are more traditional. I really like them. I have the Wavemaster and it's a tank! I didn't like to wewr it because it was so heavy. Then I put it on a nice FKM rubber strap from StrapsCo and it changed - now it's amazing. This watch is just a little silly to me. Like they're trying to hard to be original. Neither this one, nor the V2, appeal to me. Yep, I fall in the "I don't like it" camp. As you said, it's very subjective. I'm subscribed to their mail list, so I'm always looking, but I'm giving this one a pass.

Hey Randy, Im curious as to your thoughts on quartz watches. There are a few crazy high value watches out there with great looks/specs that are quartz. The casio duro (~$50) and the SWC Ark (~$200) come to mind. There are also a bunch of citizen eco-drives and casio edifices out there that seem like a great deal.

@@cheapwatchman_official Totally fair, and yeah the moonwatch looks pretty great. If you do pick one up keep an eye out and make sure you get the finish you want. Some are beadblasted and some are all high polished and its kind hard to tell from the photos sometimes. I know id be less than thrilled if i got a super shiny one when i wasnt expecting it.
