Many people assume that green is the optimal setting for the LED, but it's actually yellow. According to the manual; "Range: Green (good), Yellow (optimal), Red (very hot)". This doesn't matter for EQ and effects, but it does matter for compression and saturation. You can always adust the level with the output control if the result is too loud.

@@MTTC While we're on the subject, some people may assume that the bass and treble controls are normal bass and treble controls. They're not. I've used a frequency analyser on all the sig series plugins and every one comes with a preset frequency curve at the centre positions, it's not flat. As you adjust the bass and treble controls the curve becomes increasingly complex, more than you'd expect from just two controls. The Kramer plugins have fairly simple curves but these Maserati plugins produce crazy curves at extreme settings. I was very surprised. Of course you can't see them so you just have to use your ears. These plugins have a lot going on under the hood.

It might also be worth mentioning that JJP revealed in an interview that the technology used in his Fairchild and Pultec plugins was incorporated into his sig series plugins. So the same may possibly be true for the plugins that CLA and Kramer did for Waves.
