Asphalt might be okay in warm climate areas where there's no snow salt or brine to damage it.

No, they actually still suck even then. Wherever asphalt may last, concrete still would last longer.

They tryed once to build a concrete road in my country for about 10 km back in 2002. It remaind the only concrete roads woth no plans to build new once because driving quality on this road is so bad. And it cost so much more then regular asphalt.

Thank you! Asphalt is trash, Concrete is the way to go. Flexible concrete is also very strong too. Where I live in Michigan, The concrete roads weren’t really done right and there are a bunch of potholes. On the concrete roads that they did right, it is actually still going strong. Also asphalt in Michigan doesn’t last for a long time. Maybe 10 to 15 years

WTF part of Texas do you live in? If you go to Houston were most of the freeways are made from concrete the only potholes I ever see are on the stretches were its made from asphalt. The roads are a different story because Houston is one giant minefield when your driving on the normal roads. Im pretty sure hurricane Harvey had something to do with that too. Im from SA and we don't have nearly as many potholes but our concrete roads are the roads which are in the best condition through out the city.

I live on This strip of road I took it from Orrville to Wooster the concrete is better but the Holes are big and scary and they patch it with asphalt witch is stupid

Dirt roads are better than this two. No cost & no maintenance so no need money and it leads towards zero corruption , no toll plazas, Less traffic, no lane markings, no street light. So people will not take tension to fines and tickets.

If it’s the same concrete Highway 30 that I have driven on many of times it feels like a bunch of drunks built it with my truck feeling like it goes up and down, up and down the entire stretch of road….

I just searched this randomly as the conservative government of my state built the first concrete highway here despite every road and highway before it being asphalt, smooth, grippy and nice. The video finished and it said 'America's Cement Association'. I guess this local project here in Aus just fell for the same bullshit. My driveway of 10 years has cracks, and that has one car a day roll on it.
