Dude your workflow makes so much sense, we are in very advanced stages of Video editing and for the life of me I don’t understand why most pro editors are still messing stove with color corrections using sliders, color wheels and curves. I am glad you put out this video to show KISS (keep it simple stupid). As always your content is amazing

@@Expprods Thats dope. If you have the opportunity you should definitely check out the beta. I think it has a few extra features that are worth the switch.

This is very helpful. Definitely have been looking for something like this. Side note, I don't know if anyone else has said this, but if you apply the conversion lut on and adjustment layer above the footage and then make your adjustments on the clip after that, you will get much better results. You can almost use the adjustment layer like a node from Resolve. But I think what you are saying makes more sense. Less layers to deal with.

Hey brotha. Love the video and super super helpful! I do have one question... To my current understanding people use LUTs to convert and apply them on the top layer on premiere so that you can first adjust the LOG footage (wider dynamic range/color space) and then convert AFTER, so that they arent trying to color grade practically rec709 footage with a smaller dynamic range. Is this correct, and is this a problem? If so, is there a solution you are aware of?
@sorry.noignalАй бұрын
I don’t know the technical details but I can definitely say for a fact that when using this work flow I don’t feel like I’m working in a smaller colour space.. I should do an updated video because Adobe has improve this particular feature even more allowing us to work in a wide gamut intermediate color space.

Sorry I'm not too familiar with Sony cameras and their color profiles so I'm not too sure. I recommend testing it out anyways and seeing the results for yourself.

not how when you did it, your image looks clean and has good contrast, mine just has completely blown out highlights and saturation. I went to that edit panel you talked about but it doesn't do a hell of a lot

I tried, but it doesn't work. I have a Log3 file shot with the FX3, and I set the modify tab /color/override media color space to Rec.709. However, when I drag the clip into the timeline, it still appears in Log and not converted to 709. Why do you think it's behaving like this? thankssss
@sorry.noignalАй бұрын
You selected slog-3 from the drop-down menu?
@sorry.noignalАй бұрын
Keep in mind that if your camera records metadata into the files then premiere should automatically transform your image.. so just double check that it hasn’t already transformed it
