Major point regarding the concept of the way you carry yourself in general because that has a great impact on the way they approach you and what they expect of you.

I'm here 3 years later. Just discovering this channel by the grace of Allah. My own Muslim family here Senegal celebrates those pagan and Christian holidays plus mawlid and all that. And the get flustered with me for no going along with any of it. Sufism will do that to you. I am sad and desperate. But Allaahu l Musta'an

He spoke a major fact for a lot of things not just religion. If you are consistent there is no need to ask a question.

Friday is not a Holiday in Islam. Not sure where you get that. In Islam we only have 2 holidays. Pretty sure most Americans would be fine with coming to 2 Eid celebration (many actually do). You shouldn't start an argument if you are not willing to follow it. Islamically speaking just congratulate them on their holidays, you don't have to actually practice it.

AS SALAAMU ALAIKUM Ahki. To your first point, you are incorrect, and you should do research before making a statement WA ALLAH HU AL'EM : There is no doubt that Friday is an “Eid” or “festival” for the Muslims, as it says in the hadeeth narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “This is a day of ‘Eid that Allah has ordained for the Muslims, so whoever comes to Jumu‘ah, let him do ghusl, and if he has any perfume let him put some on, and you should use the miswaak.” Narrated by Ibn Maajah, 1098; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah. To your second point, I agree, I wouldn't challenge someone to that task as a means of deterring them from asking me, I believe, ALLAH HU AL'EM, it would be problematic. And I say to my non Muslim friends and relatives "Enjoy your holiday"

@@xell5252 For Friday it's obligatory for men to go to the mosque so it is considered a "holiday" for Muslims. You're missing the bigger point of what he is saying, for example I am a revert new to Islam, Most of my family is not religious/Christian and right now they are inviting me to Christmas dinner, Thanksgiving dinner, Halloween celebration etc., I tell them kindly I will not have any specific dinners that is celebrating these holidays or partake in the festivities, but I will gladly have tea, socialize a little bit before/after the festivities. They have a right to celebrate what they want to celebrate, and I have a right to celebrate what I want to celebrate, I am not going to pressure them into celebrating anything I celebrate, and I feel they should not pressure me into celebrating anything I don't want to celebrate. I do not want to go against my Islamic religion simple as that, he is not saying to get in a debate, he says that clearly in the end. He even says every situation differs person to person

@@Eleidig007 first, AS SALAAMU ALAIKUM Uhkti. 2nd, I think you are confused, please read my comment, because I'm in agreement with Mufti Muneer, I clearly stated authentic information confirming Jumu'ah (Friday) to be an Eid (Festival/Holiday) "American Muslim" the one who started this thread said Jumu'ah was not a holiday, sooooo🤷🏾♂️
