Great tips! I prefer to nest seams whenever possible. I’m less accurate when I press seems open for some reason.

Hi Rob. Getting back to quilting after 2 decade hiatus. Lots of new gadgets making it funner and easier. I have a theory: don’t fight for the perfect 1.4” seam, fight for a consistent 1/4” seam. Xxxx. I have trouble with half sq triangles. The fabric grows at completion. Is it normal to gain excess that needs trimming on them? The squares remain constant, the triangles go wonkie? If someone reading this has an answer, hearing from you is appreciated. Granny back to quilting, thanks.

Love this video but I have a question...thought magnetic weren't good to put around computers.. I have a computerized sewing machine and See these seam guides everywhere are they really safe to use? I cant afford to replace my only sewing machine I'm on a strict limited income
@StitchinHeaven Жыл бұрын
The magnetic seam guides are safe with your machines, just do not put it on a screen, or wave it back and forth near the screen. thanks for asking, Rob

Thanks for great class. As a note, lately I have been thinking of pressing my seams open, especially when many seams come together. Question: your cutting mats look very nice. What is the brand name?

Love the slotted trimmer. I use Elenor Burns flying gees trimmer, and cut the dog ears off. Block lock rulers are WAY out of line in their pricing! Good? Yes! But way overpriced😭
