BEST WAY TO GO TO CAPPADOCIA FROM ISTANBUL BY TURKISH AIRLINES TO NEVSEHIR | Not Kara and Nate way

Kara and Nate had used a bus to go from Istanbul to Cappadocia and many still do this. But the BEST WAY TO GO TO CAPPADOCIA FROM ISTANBUL IS BY TURKISH AIRLINES TO NEVSEHIR.
While I enjoy bus rides, the flight operated by Turkish Airlines between Istanbul and Nevsehir is much more convenient and believe it or not, the flight prices are as cheap as the bus tickets.
NEVSEHIR is the airport you would want to go to since it is closer to Goreme, the heart of Cappadocia. Kayseri is a bit far off. Furthermore, the shuttle facilities between Nevsehir and Goreme are superb. they can be as cheap as 5 to 10 USD.
This Turkish Airlines flight operates from IST airport and not SAW. This is something to keep in mind.

Thanks Will for your kind words. I bought the flight ticket online directly from the Turkish Airlines website. Since I flew to Nevsehir (closer to Goreme, this was the best deal), otherwise another popular airport for Cappadocia is Kayseri. I do recommend Nevsehir though because of the shuttles. The shuttle takes local currency unfortunately, they don't take dollars... The flight timing was such that I could take a shared taxi from downtown Istanbul to the airport. In case you want to stay near the airport, just a head's up that there's not a lot to do near the airport, so if you want to explore Istanbul at night and still catch an early morning flight, it wouldn't be too bad staying somewhere central. The roads are pretty good and in the morning you won't have any issue reaching the airport on time by a shared cab. You can ask for a shared cab at any travel agency in Istanbul or at the reception. One more thing you should be mindful of, is which airport your flight leaves from. Istanbul has two major airports - IST and SAW. Turkish Airlines operates usually from IST and Pegasus from SAW.

The shared shuttle is between 5,6 euros to 8 euros. You can book it online, there are many options online. Private transfers a little more expensive. The drivers coordinate your pick up and it is super easy to locate them. There are options of on spot booking too but only if they have places left. So I advise you to book any online service.

Just outside the Airport Arrivals gate at Nevsehir airport. The drivers wait just there. Payment is by cash unless you prepay online. Usually you can book online and pay by cash too directly to the driver.

I am confused, why are you calling it Nevsehir, even though nevsehir does not have an airport, that is gülşehir airport. Trust me, i am a proud turkish person and i went to nevsehir 7-9 times.

It is Nevsehir airport as per IATA.
