Best way to use your Todo List in Home Assistant

I really dig this. The procrastinator in me would keep those items in the to do list until I check them off by hand. I would then send a more aggressive reminder a few hours later for the remaining items. It’s worth mentioning I’ve missed trash day a few times this year. 😅

I don't know if you use hacs or not but there is a battery notes component on there that you could use to pull. What kind of batteries you need to buy. I have a very basic automation that notifies me when I'm at the store. What ones I need to get pulled by whatever is under 40%?

Hey thanks for commenting! Yup, HA is my primary SmartHome platform. I’ve seen similar blueprints for tracking that work pretty well. Actually, I think I modeled this automation after one of the battery alerts blueprints. I wanted to try create something that could be used in any automation and leverage AI to simplify the message.

How do you handle Google speakers/Chromecasts need for be awake to play the full messenge?

I’ve never had an issue with the speakers cutting messages short. At worst long messages take a while to be converted to speech from text but then Google plays the entire audio file.
