You have to turn on manual alt-bite in the settings. that's why when you pressed lmb it was your alt bite and not your normal left click attack.

You can also hold CTRL to slide down from the tree, which is more efficient stamina wise. Jumping down just takes a little more stamina away but i can't stress enough the more stamina you have the better off your gonna be. Even just going to a tree to climb, don't jump; just walk up to it, press your body in the tree and it'll let you climb aswell. And that saves some stam aswell.

Question, you run to the tree while holding right button? Will it automatically makes you climb?

@@RavenShugo You can indeed run to the tree while holding right click to climb, but sometimes it does bug out. You'll find yourself being stuck in the air when that bug happens but you can luckily fix it by jumping. It's why i, when i'm not in danger just trot toward the tree i want to climb and make sure im completely up against the tree.

@@RavenShugo Very annoying when you gotta escape something ye, been there too. Untill it (hopefully) gets fixed just use it when your not in danger. Actually, another bug i found: i logged back in and was on the ground as my herrera even though i logged off on a tree branch. I was checking smth on youtube when i heard dilo biting...i survived 4 days with this herrera only for a weird bug to kill me off lmao

@@wietse9673 to repair the bug they have to check all hitboxes fo everything. Honestly when they changed maps I expected polished textures and skeleton base, but it's as glitchy as Spiro. No clue why they decided to spend time on new island... I saw trees growing from rocks, or running to food just to understand it's inside the mountain rocks and die from starvation... btw I think it would be cool if everything that herrera can latch to would iluminate a bit when you press right button, or they need to make his night vision better, since at night I can't see other trees, or prey on the ground cause vision radius so small....

The RMB icons change depending on what you can do when using Herra's ability. 3 claws icon = climb/latch on to that surface Footprint icon= safe surface to walk/jump/pounce to Fracture/Broken bone icon= jumping/falling from this height will result in broken legs (you lose your climbing ability when fractured) So you can comfortably gauge your approach to different terrain/trees/surfaces or whether pouncing onto a player is worth it based on these icons.

You can hold right click while attached to see where you will land when you jump you dont need to use the "white dot"...

Game feature. It's possible that the species probably evolved overtime and gained special adaptations to climb almost any structure, according to lore.🧐

played this yesterday. the chance that u ge to ounce smth is so low that its yet another camp in the tree for 5 hours and be bored kinda thing. great ideas, shit implementation. sadly since i really wanna enjoy this game but everytime i revisite it its boring
