With the sheep, buy them early but also take good care of them! Talk to them, snuggle them, and brush them to raise their health and affection which will then give you better quality wool! I got golden wool fairly quickly doing this twice a day every day.

Make sure to check what your milk sells for for it's quality BEFORE you make the milk soup! Because after a certain quality level, it's more profitable to sell the milk directly (assuming you don't have the Maker shed)! For example, Milk Soup sells for 150G, but once you get SS milk, the milk sells for 225G iirc! I am not 100% sure, but this rule also applies to eggs I think!

Yep, milk soup is only worth it for normal milk rank C-S. It’s worth the same price for S rank milk, but it’s worth it to make the soup anyway for the cooking experience!

The most available fish are by the waterfall, and honestly i think its more reliable than using the digsite, especially since you get better rods by fishing more, which gets you better fish.

Small tip: you can get a mineral ore (or is it moonlight ore?) by playing the Territory game with one of the twins in their tower once a day! Save before you play so that if you lose you can reload :P The best tip I've heard for the Territory game is to look at the big picture rather than going for a triangle or two at a time!

Since trees take so long to grow, I fertilized my trees every day and they leveled up really good! For fruit tree seeds in the first year, the best money maker I've found is Bananas! Grow em, turn any you don't wanna keep for cooking or w/e into seeds!

I recommend loving the shit out of those sheep as often as you can as soon as you get them. Meaning, talk to, snuggle, AND brush them twice a day. I got my sheep to give me golden wool really quickly (like, the second time I sheered my first sheep it was golden) and it sells for 6,000 G. Also, Fodder+ is a good way to earn more hearts and health from your animals too! 😊❤

a good note for opening your own shop, its kinda unnecessary, unless you need gold that day and you think you might get lucky, perhaps you can increase your like level that people have with you if you give them a discount, which needs tested, perhaps its a good way to increase that more or faster/

I feel like giving discounts is substantial in gaining friendship. I've really only interacted with molly through the shop and she maxed friendship in year one for me.

@@vargr9543 perhaps its a way to max stuff out in a difffernt way, you can give most people 3 to 5 gifts every day but perhaps theres a method to speed run it by selling them stuff as well

I'm actually doing some tests to see if your luck as displayed on the TV in your house has anything to do with things like the dig site and how often Vinnie will give you hybrid seeds as opposed to just making regular seeds. So far having amazing luck seems to give you more hybrid seeds and more often dig site items, but it could be just a fluke.

for the mines, early game obviously not the most lucrative, but its easy for a few quick items if you go every day, you will have 2 to 4 or 5 plots already half dug and sometimes you will have objects poking out, easy free first time items. dig those up then dig once under each untouched plot and dig up anything that appears, go for a second round and at that point, you can bail early and go back to doing other things.

First, the quality of the wool had factors between the sheep's health and happiness. Golden wool will come after quality wool, and will sell for 6000g. I have gotten this as soon as the 3rd clipping of a purchased sheep. Second, the shop is a waste of time unless you known the times when people pass by. They will almost never buy at normal price. Third, milky soup is only worth it to sell for normal cow A-quality or lower milk. All other milk types and qualities are either equal to or greater than milky soup. Forth, fish are great for gifts and food. Even the huge varieties are not worth as much you would think. If anything sell the large and huge, and make sashimi from normal and small fish. Sashimi is a super easy recipie you can cook as soon as you get past only the salad and sup recipes. It is an horderves recipe with only needs one fish of any type or size. Fifth, Van is more likely to haggle with you the higher your friendship is with him. Now a tips for you. 1. Buy a Star Bull as soon as you get 25,000g. Then once it grows up, breed that star bull with the normal cow you start with. You have a 60% chance for a normal breed, and 40% of a star breed (chances are based on which is the mother). Milk of a star cow sells for so much, it can lose value if turned into cheese or butter. Unneeded cattle can be sold for half the buying price. So if another star bull is born, it will sell for 12,500g. 2. Your fruit trees can share the same border tiles to others. I have 10 fruit trees just in the poor soil field. 3. Get in the habit of keeping the cows on a breeding cycle to maximized milk production.

Fish is also the perfect gift for befriending Daryl early enough to get the free seed maker in the 1st year. So, I would make sure to use a fish as a gift to him each day. After Takakura tells you about seed makers in town you have a chance of seeing the event for Daryl if the friendship level is high enough and you manage to catch him in his lab. The special flowers (Happy Lamp, Gemsoil, Upseed, Trick Blue) should be collected as often as possible so that when you have access to Vinnie you can use them for some really helpful tricks. Upseed is the rarest but, has a super useful effect. Said effect being instant S rank crop. Sadly it doesn't work on tree crops but, that is still pretty useful. Trick Blue turns crops into a blue variety of themselves, if they have one. Sometimes the blue varieties sell for a good amount of money. Example: Blue variety of Peach "Peablu." Keeping Chickens can help with a little money and a bit of food supply by making most eggs into egg soup for either eating or selling. Getting just one hen and rooster then hatching the rest of your flock is the best route. Let them outside to eat out there to conserve bird feed. Sell any extra roosters that hatch. If you don't want to go back to the save before to see if you can get a hen in the next try. Same trick works for cows. Unless they changed it

for sheep, you may be able to save scum to get better quality wool, havne't tested it yet, the night before a sheeps coat matures, you may be able to look at the symbol in the animal log to see what kinda coat it has, sometimes it will look normal or blue or gold/yellow. however, i've had a regular become gold before. im thinking based on the hearts a sheep has, will determine a probabliyt of getting that gold coat. my usual method is to save on two slots before going to bed, this allows for save scumming in needed situations, (new hatched chick being male again so you can reload and try again or cows, or perhaps you left your animals out on accident, then i sleep, if i know i have a coat happening i check the log first and if its gold im good, if it isn't try reloading the presleep save and see if you can get that gold.

Just clean/snuggle/talk twice a day. I have only gold wool, I actually had to try to get blue wool because it's always gold by shear day. The wool will always restart at pink after a shear but you'll see it change as days pass, I usually get gold two days before a shear. It's been like this since I got the sheep so minimal hearts and health, your way sounds way more time consuming.

@@nerdycurls6253 tbh i haven't had to scum yet, but i have seen it change days before and seen it look normal the night before to it being gold the next day, it is probably directly related to the hearts and not chance derived, perhaps if there was a 4th S class wool you could get by chance like S+ milk.

For some reason I can't remember if it's oranges or peaches (99% sure oranges) you break even making into seeds and isn't worth it. The other you don't make a lot on but you do make a bit extra on.

Put your trees in the lower quality soil buy banana trees they should be the most profitable in playing the original harvest moon on my GameCube currently and I’m on the second summer and I just sold my yield for 15k from just plants in the summer I’ve been getting gold eggs and sold my sheep and got a star cow and my marble and regular cow are pregnant
