its best to save at your journal before going to sleep, that way you can manipulate the weather - to avoid storms or for events that you need a sunny day also saving before the birth of animals like chickens and cows can be useful to manipulate the gender of the chicks and animals ifever they get birth. basically try to anticipate things and save first before the birth

When you get fertilize maker a good way to use it is, Fodder, you get a lot of it in pasture and using your sickle every day so is worth it

when harvesting fruits from trees, PAY ATTENTION to the color of the square tile, if its Yellow it means shake that tree like crazy and when it turns to blue it mean no more fruits available to the tree

For the fertilizer maker maker, I put fodder in. Cause you can essentially make infinite fertilizer and infinite fodder. it takes 1 fodder to make 5 fertilizer, then those 5 fertilizer become 5 fodder... So essentially it goes 1 to 5 to 25 to 125 to 625 to infinity

Okay so many people knew this and I didn’t even think about replanting the 5 that it gives you. That’s so much fertilizer 😂 such an amazing tip!

Another awesome thing I discover is you only need the first fertilizers (3 or 4 fertilizers forgot) you have to grow the entire pasture of grass! You just have to fertilize a tile at which it can grow in all direction. Dont use all of them at once by holding the button. Choose different spots and fertilize a tile and before you know it the pasture is full of grass.

Later you can use the fertilize maker to convert 1 feed from grass to 5 fertilizer. I cut all grass and replant them every day to make new fertilizers for my crops ;)

Oh and what I do, is with Vinnie in the second year, I tested it and it worked most of the times, I would recommend that if you want hybrid crops, before you give them to him, save, then talk to him, give him the crops you want to to fusion, if it didn’t work, just load your save and do it again, I did this and got most rare crops out of it without wasting most of my seeds

If you don't mind waiting a bit, (and are fine with save scumming) it's cheaper to buy bulls to get the other cow types. - Start with brown/marble bull, wait for it to grow up, then breed it with your normal cow. - Then save scum the baby that's born for a female brown/marble cow. - Sell the father, getting half his purchase price back. End Result: Normal Cow has been reset for bonus milk, and your brown/marble cow cost 5,000 g. However, once you purchase a Star Bull, don't sell him. He is now your breeding bull. Even if you're going to sell the baby to rotate your bonus milk, you can *save scum for a star girl, which sells for 25k (you don't even have to wait for her to grow up or get past the mother's milk phase. To the city she goes) *Technically this particular tip works without save scumming, as you give yourself a chance of the mother having a star cow regardless of her type, which sell for 12,500 or 25k, depending on gender. - Naturally, this is more oriented towards players who want to play with the mechanics over "Minmax to the max! All slots are star cows!"

About the friendship, sell your things to the villagers at a cheaper price, they find it good and your friendship goes up fast, and so you can find out what they like because they only buy that what they like, with me anyway.

@@ashscozycorner but as soon as they have their friendship full, I would recommend sell them the things to the normal price again, because it won’t go down after it’s full, I did it with Nina before she died, she was on full friendship with me and i could sell her my things ( she takes mostly flowers if you sell them) to a normal price

What I did for an infinite supply of fertilizer is I let the grass grow a bit and cut in patches so that it would regrow evenly and with the fodder you get enough fertilizer to spread out more grass or use it for crops. This saves you the items that you can actually sell (even if the herbs don’t sell for much, it’s still something) since you can’t sell fodder (I think), and I feel like it would be more consistent. I’d only need to try this with an upgraded barn as I only have 8 animals.

So smart! You’re right, you can’t sell fodder so it’s even easier to use. I have almost maxed out my villagers on gifts so I just throw my herbs in there, but once I stock up on food for my animals I’ll definitely use fodder. Thank you for the tip!! 😄

I will say that sheep are good in year one only pretty much, maybe part of year two but star cows milk at B quality give more money than golden wool would, at S quality it is the best money maker ever aside from gen 3 crops. Edit: Some math - Golden wool = 6,000G every 5 days. Star Milk at B quality sells for 325G per bottle. In Spring and Autumn you get 3 bottles per milking. so 325 x 3 = 975, however you can milk cows twice a day so lets double that number and you get 1,950 per day. Since sheep only provide wool every 5 days lets compare it to milking twice a day for 5 days. 1950 x 5 (for 5 days) = 9,750 over 5 days! Summer and Winter you get 2 bottles per milking so lets do 325 x 4 (2 milkings per day) = 1300 and then 1300 x 5 = 6,500G, which is 500G more than sheep still. This means that while waiting to shear your sheep for 5 days you are losing nearly 4k gold for using sheep instead of a star cow on star milk's starting quality in Spring and Autumn. If you get it to S its even better as S sells for 500 per bottle meaning over 5 days, with 2 milkings per day, you get 15,000G compared to a sheep's 6,000G, even with the blessed shears where you get double the wool harvested you get more from star cows as 15k is more than 12k. Star Cow Milk is the biggest money maker only with its equal being to use goat butter and goat cheese.

Star cows are expensive and take more care, for lazy money sheep are definitely a good choice. I have 4 sheep so I make 24k every time just off them, then I have one of each cow so far. It doesn't hurt to have sheep as a passive income you don't have to worry about while slowly getting more star cows. Plus personally I think it's more fun, the sheep are so cute when all fluffy 🥰

You only need to buy the one cow and can breed for more female star cows by reloading saves…yes the initial cost is expensive hence why sheep are good in year one. But homie the math doesn’t lie Star Cows provide more “passive income” than sheep and are what you should be focusing on doing animal wise in the game to make money once you get one.

I usually bought the seed maker in old version because I always made money faster than it took to befriend Daryl. I'll see how it goes with this new version. All of this seems carried over from old game so seems easy enough. The fertilizer maker though, whew, huge expense but is going to be so worth it.

You can make friends with Daryl in this one by giving him 2 fish and 2 coins in about 7 days, maybe 10 days! 😄

I really appreciate the tip with the clock stopping at 11:59 p.m. to train the dog. It's the main reason why I usually don't train my dog so much. But do you know if it has any benefit training the dog? I think I remember from the original that a well trained dog stopped Murrey from stealing stuff from your inventory/barns. But I didn't pay attention to my inventory to see if Pui stole anything. 😅

Yes! It typically takes a long time to do that though. I recommend using Vinny to get a better tier before planting!

I can totally answer those for you! 1 and 2) you have a higher chance of getting a normal cow if you breed it with a star cow, I think it’s 60%(normal cow) to 40%(star cow) 3) it has a chance of being either, but you can have a save file for the day before it is birthed so you can reset the game if it isn’t the type/gender that you want 😄 I hope that helps!

I know the cows have a chance to breed by themselves, so I would assume the same is true for goats and sheep. The chance is pretty low though, so you may still want to order breeding using your own bull, ram, and buck.

The down side, if you can call it that, is you don't get to chose which cow is impregnated if you have more then one female it's randomized I think.

I wish I could answer! I have a goat, but it’s not old enough yet to tell. From what I’ve found online, it doesn’t run out of milk, but I’m just basing that off of what I’ve read. I’m sorry I couldn’t be more help yet! 😄
