About 2 hours ago I juiced 3 pineapples. Had some foam. I put the juice in my mason jar, put a lid on it and shook it up. The foam went away and turned into juice. Great video, John. Thank you so much for all your videos. I enjoy them so much. For years I’ve watched discount juicers to grow your own greens. I remember watching videos about the fruit festivals a while back. You inspired me so much. Thank you :)

Thumbs up John! I’ve been using sieves for green juices repeating the process 2-3 times to get rid of most of the foam but your other techniques will definitely be worth a try. Thank you!

I regret not spending a few extra hundred on this bad boy (It was on sale at the time 😣) , when I got my Solo Star 4 a few years ago. I started out thinking I was going to do mostly greens, then changed my mind wanting to juice lots of carrots (3,5,10lb batches) and other hard stuff ... and it is just too much for it to handle all at once, without having to take it a part to clean, in between at least 1x. One day Maybe 😁 Can't afford to drop the $$ on it now. I would totally do it if I didn't already have a juicer. If anyone can't decide between this one & one a little less expensive, I advise getting this one of you want to juice more a variety & larger quantities at a time. BTW I got my solo star 4 from discount juicers. 😊

Greenstar Pro is arguably the best juicer you can buy in terms of yield and juice quality, from what I can tell. Some people may not want to squeeze a bag after blending. At some point I'd like to purchase the Pro as a sort of upgrade to my Slowstar. As for the foam situation, I think it would also help to sieve it again in a second sieve with maybe no tapping so that the foam stays in the sieve. Me personally, I can drink the juice with the technique of having the foam stay above my upper lip as the juice flows into my mouth. Don't know if I'm the only one, but that's what I do.

Out of curiosity, I would love to see the results of a scientific study. There are contradicting theories out there and no real scientific evidence to support any of the claims. To me it doesn’t matter. You can’t go wrong with juicing or blending produce in good quality machines.

Hi John, any suggestions on an alternative to using apples? They're great for balancing flavors especially adding sweetness. However, in South East Asia, apples come at a premium. Carrots and beets are great but I can't think of anything else. I wanted to hear your opinion. Thank you.

Does anyone know if the tribest vacuum pump works for those fermentation lids sold on Amazon? I cant find the sealing lids he’s using. The ones on amazon look a bit different 🤔
@discountjuicers3 жыл бұрын
In my experience, the tribest pump will work with most vacuum lids I have tested. That being said, most vacuum lids come with a manual pump

@@discountjuicers ok thankyou for the reply!! I love your videos 😍 Ya mine did come with a manual pump but I figured the electric pump would work better so I’m going to try it

We check the Soligt site and Amazon almost everyday, still out of stock on their vacuum lids. We bought Trellis fermentation lids, off Amazon, and sent them back; these are fermentation lids not designed for vacuuming juices. The Blendtec lids work OK but are not available either. So, we are now using the Foodsaver mason jar attachment designed to seal mason jar lids for juices made with the GS Elite and the Blendtec Vacuum Blender, it works great and you can fill the jar to the max fill line (unlike Blendtec lids). The Foodsaver option appears to be the best option at this point. John?
@David__________3 жыл бұрын
@@wavelength239 are you talking about the white lids with the hose attachment on amazon? Those hoses attach to the tribest vacuum pump?
@wavelength2393 жыл бұрын
@@David__________ The foodsaver attachment attaches to foodsaver vacuum/sealer or the Blendtec vacuum pump, the round attachment. I am not sure if the Tribest pump will work with the foodsaver attachment but seem to recall that John may have used the foodsaver attachment with the Tribest vacuum pump in another video about vacuum sealing.

@hb41963 жыл бұрын
He is being himself, talking extemporaneously, and he is loaded with knowledge and information so those details he gives are well worth the time and I take notes as I listen. To be more concise naturally he would have to be a different person, or plan ahead with a script and/or edit the videos afterwards which is a great deal more work. As someone else has suggested, listen at 1.5 or 1.25 speed, I sometimes do this depending on the video.

This is a pathetic excuse for a juicer. Just look at how you had to push produce into the juicer and how it was struggling to process it. I know you know this John, but it goes against your business so I'm not going to say too much. Why would I ever lube a juicer, lol.

@@incorectulpolitic I've had the Omega VSJ843 for over 8 years now it's what I use and suites my needs best. Any single auger masticating type juicer whether it's horizontal or vertical type is what I would recommend. You can research the differences between horizontal, vertical, and the different brands.

@@incorectulpolitic My issue with Tribest is price, size, difficult to clean, the effort to push produce through, It won't do fruits well, the metal gears are issue for me also. I would prefer the Sana 727 over Tribest.
@miagi842 жыл бұрын
@@incorectulpolitic Lots of things to consider. The main thing is what produce you are mainly going to be juicing and should make your decision based on that. I don't want to sway anyone's decision based on my personal beliefs. I would definitely check return policy when you do buy a juicer and make sure you can return it if it does not meet your expectations. Good luck, happy juicing.
