Hey John! Hope you're doing well! I'm in a bit of a pickle and was hoping for some advice and guidance. So, I am on disability and money is very tight, I have $100 to spend on a masticating slow juicer so I can make coconut cream, see I am trying to absorb the toxins in my body and I've been told that the greenstar juicer is all that works and that coconut cream is the best detoxifier known to man, so I'm in a pickle because the greenstar juicers are so expensive, but I'm desperate to be able to make the coconut cream to rid my body of these toxins so I figured I'd reach out to someone who knew a lot about these machines because maybe you can help guide me to the right direction. I just started juicing. I wish there were videos with testimonials after 6 months to a year of juicing, before and after. Most juicing videos online are on the extreme side with only juice fasting!

I use Oasis Biocompatible Dishwash/All-Purpose. That being said, its not the soap, its washing right after use. I scrub well with a dish brush immediately after every use, every surface

Hello John. Love your work. Is there any way to vacuum seal PET bottle juices? Im thinking of starting a business and the distance from my home to the shop is quite far so i cant be there as often as i could so i was thinking of juicing once or twice a week and i dont want to risk the juices going bad. How can i vacuum seal plastic bottle juices of 350ml?

To do this I would 1: Vacuum in a 1/2 gallon mason jar with a strong pump. That will remove the dissolved oxygen in the juice. 2. next I would pour into the pet bottle and squeeze out the extra air and top it off. the issue is the PET bottle will compress and not allow a good vacuum pull.

Hi John, Question, I just purchased a Greenstar Pro All Stainless Jumbo Twin gear machine. Do I need another type of machine?

Depends on what you are juicing. The green star pro can juice all veggies really well, but doesn't juice straight fruits that well. (works fine if you alternate fruits with veggies, such as roots). So I would say no, you dont necessarily need another juicer. I would recommend investing in a vacuum blender before you got another juicer, so you can process fruits in it which is better than juicing them anyway IMO.

Does Samson Welles juicer produce foam in your juice?

All juicers will make more or less foam. The welles press is generally the 2nd step of the juicing process, a first step, grinding is required in most cases. The grinding/pressing style juicers tend to put less foam in the juice than other style juicers, but it depends what you are juicing.

It is a high speed juicer. I am not a fan of high speed juicers due to the excess oxygen (lower nutrition) in the juice as well as poor extraction on leafy greens, and certain other produce items.

Blending fruits and veggies is better than not eating them. However, there are benefits to juicing you cant get from blending and benefits of blending you cant get from juicing. Hello. I just juiced for the first time. I juiced a carrot and apple. I used a strainer over the juice collection container. When the juice came out, it was thick so the strainer would overflow with this thick juice while the rest of the liquid went through the strainer and then it would just stay in the strainer so I kept having to empty the strainer because it wouldn't go through. How can I correct this? I am using a vertical masticating juicer. I thought the juice was just suppose to flow out with a little pulp it would strain nicely but that is not what happened. Thank you for any help.

Hey Rob, sorry to hear about your experience. As the juice is coming thru the sieve, it will collect a bunch of pulp and that will prevent the juice from flowing thru, so I recommend shaking down the sieve, to get the juice to come thru. (leaving the pulp in the sieve). I do this multiple times during the juicing process, and throw the pulp back into the juicer with some virgin carrots to get re-juiced. It also depends on WHAT juicer you are using, some juicers put more PULP in the juice than others. The Nama J2 typically puts less pulp in the juice compared to other juicers of its style.

I want to get my first slow juicer but can't decide which to get? What do you recommend for a budget of $300-$400. Mostly fruits, some veggies and nutmilk. Generally, a vertical juicer is better for making nut milks and juicing fruits. If it were me, I would personally get a Nama J2, since it is easiest to use and requires the least cutting of fruits.. I stay away from carrot because of the carbonic acid content. Each cell in the body needs glucose so the sugar from fruits is not bad for you like processed man made sugars that’s in everything these days
