Just got the new Phillips 9050 at Costco for only $1,500 when the best my Medicare insurance could offer was $4,000. The Costco technician several friends recommended to me is amazing, really knows her stuff. I am totally blown away by the level of service.

#6 If you are a veteran see if you are qualified by the VA for hearing assistance. The aids are free. I just received a pair of Signia Pure Charge & Go T 7IX hearing aids. The set up leaves a bit to be desired but I have a good local audiologist to complete set up.

All Veterans are eligible. If you are not enrolled in VA Healthcare, all the Veterans has to do is walk into the VA with your DD-214, go to Registration. Tell the person registering you that you do not use VA Healthcare, you need to register with the VA Healthcare System as you need to see the Audio Department for a hearing test and/or hearing aids. They will register you, all you have to do is go to Audiology and make an appointment. If you use VA Healthcare, you do not need a referral from your PCP, make an appointment with Audiology by phone or in person. I just picked up my Phonak Audio 90’s. The Audiologist fitted me with mine, hearing test with them, and REM. Walked me through cleaning, wax guards, domes, the Phonak number for Tech Support for Veterans, the trial period, warranty, loss or damage of hearing aids, charging, custom settings in the App, etc.

My Audiologist gave me a Dryer to put my Hearing Aids in and it worked good. I think that he was afraid that if my Hearing Aids got moisture I would not be able to hear so he wanted me to have it. I did not know that I needed to have a Dryer before that but it is good to have because you do not have to worry about moisture making you not able to hear and damage my Hearing Aids.

I notice that you didn't mention Costco, which based on the numbers, is the best way to save money.
@DrCliffAuDАй бұрын
@@sancarloscyclist if numbers are all that mattered, perhaps. However, you also have to get them programmed and serviced properly. Costco is too unreliable for these services.

Do you need a hearing aid dryer with Phonak Infinio Sphere rechargeable hearing aids?
@pagzplayАй бұрын
My Hearing Aids have always been more expensive Doctor Cliff because I wear Ultra power Hearing Aids to Hear. They do not try anything else with me because they would not have enuf Amplification possible now and Power to Hear with. I think that if you have a higher level of Hearing you can get less expensive Hearing Aids than these and they will work for you.

so long story short, most of us are fucked when it comes to your best ways to save money on hearing aids right ?

Hello Dr. Cliff. this question is off topic. When do you see Phonak coming out with a custom hearing aid with their Infinio hearing aids? I can't wear behind the ear hearing aids so my only option is custom. Will they be offering that soon for the Infinio hearing aids?? thank you

I hear a hiss in the background both phonak and oticon entry level hearing aids. Can I find better in more expensive hearing aids?
@DrCliffAuDАй бұрын
@@TheKimKaiser that's a programming issue. Get a different provider.

I am American who has lived here in the U.K for over thirty years, and I can tell you the NHS will supply a basic hearing aid. If someone is unable to purchase his/her hearing aid than again a entry level (basic hearing aid) will be provided under the NHS.
