Best weapon in Gothic 3

It matters! The most important thing is the reach of the weapon! The longer it is, the better! Longer means that you attack before the enemy! Also big weapons attack multiple enemies with a single blow! DMG is also an important factor! With this weapon wild animal do not pose a threat anymore! Wild boars dont even touch you! LOL!

There was a way to get one! I dont know if after the latest patches this trick works anymore! Try this: When you see an Ogre coming at you, use sleep spell on him. It won't put him into sleep, but he will drop the worn Morningstar and draw a new one with 250 dmg (unworn), if you use the sleep spell on him again, he will drop this Morningstar as well and draw another one. LOL!

Shorter means weaker! You must attack the enemies before they attack you! In fact this is the main reason I chose this weapon, this and the damage thing! :)

Best fighting can be done with hashishin skill with the 2 blades and holding 1 Wenzel's Sword-->DMG:105 sharpened blessed Flamesword-->DMG:100 =DMG 205 fast and cool moves

actually, best 2 blades are: self-forged bastard swords -longest range 1h sword -120dmg each (self-forged, sharpened, blessed, poisoned)

Ah Gothic 3, one of the top RPGs as long as you don't compare it to the prequals, especially G2: NotR. Sure it's full of bugs but if you search a bit about it you'll understand the why.. still a great game wich i enjoyed a lot and imo dual weilding and magic is the best part of it..

OK! So I found how to get a new Ogre Morningstar: Knock down an oger, loot him and when he stands up he grabs a morningstar wich is not worn.

i was also using tarach back in the day...its truly the best weapon.Even its range alone is enough to make it imba and it also has huge damage. Only drawback is that hero moves a bit unnatural with it coz its too huge ;-)

@Fr0Z3n1337 you can't see at which game point he is, thats gothic 3..you can also do nordmar before myrtana and it IS possible to have this armor even if (i think its montera) isn't free. so and 2nd point: if you find this weapon not used, it HAS 200dmg points and it IS the best weapon! exept your using an community patch, they have fixed this imballanced thing so maybe you use another version of gothic 3 than him. well and..sorry for my bad english;)

Not quite! With other weapons is much harder! To get the combos you need to time your attacks correctly! I had to use the Bow quite a lot in the beginning of the game!

Prove it! I had a crap sword at the beginning of the game and man, my ass was kicked all the time by bears, ogres, trolls...etc. I had to use the bow/crossbow a lot! Since I got this weapon the game has become so easy...:)

try it...you will won't be disappointed:) Gothic 3 have weapons look like G2 weapons, but different names. And G3 have weapons damage a much, and not just "hit the orc till a hour"...

the best weapon would be the ogre morningstar, with 250 dmg, just that you can't find any un-worn ones, atleast not that i know of

NOPE! The character I build is really strong! The skill for big weapons is maxed out, the strength is high and also the armor and artifacts on this char are good! That's why 80% of the attacks are critical hits! :)

I killed 2 Dragons when I was level 5 with the bow I started with try that with a melee weapon. Seriously if you use a bow for stronger enemies like Dragons, trolls, ogers and shadowbeasts and sword for mob mosters like bison, goblin, skeleton and wolfs then it doesnt matter what dmg the waepon but how u use ur brain. remember the demon that showed up in the monastery after u read that book? you dont rush it with a sword or axe! you shoot it from the doorway which wont pass couz hes too big.

This wouldn't work with the latest community patch baöance update which makes a lot of changes to how melee works in the game. That update also changes a lot of animal attack speeds though so that getting hit is no longer a death sentence. Gothic 3 release version is just so buggy and unbalanced, it's really not playable without the community patches.

The Flaw with Krush Tarach is the requirment400 str?!!!..I suggest 2 handed swords or Halberd(its Great and has a long range too) WHY?? Because magic is better!you can make your hero A Fighter-Mage Using firebals,Summon Demon and ice block or fire storm and be a warrior at same time.Combining is the key thus is more fun too!using weapons is great but combined with magic it rocks.Ogres are ususally killed with bow,but why not with fireball?? But some like Melle more than magic i like them both!

i still love G3 even so its so old, bugged and bad optimized.. i got my Krush Tarach too, its unworn, i didnt cheat it and i really dont remember where did i found it.. (i have 1.75 CP, no CM or QP). 220 dmg after sharpening and blessing :P i can do pretty much anything i want, nobody cant hit me because it has so large range and most of the enemies dies in one hit :D

Orc halberd = 200 damage (210 when sharpened). However IF you get stunlocked it's all over. That's the one major flaw of this game, it's too damn random if you get stunlocked or not. I was taking on 2 trolls at once and totally owned them, I then went for the last troll and it stunlocked me into oblivion. Makes no sense.

BTW: Can you kill an Ogre with ease? Because Ogres hit you before you hit them! Their weapon has the biggest reach in the game together with the Halberd and Krush Tarach! :)

Well yeah..but 400 str??thats a hell of a lot!you need to be like 30 lvl or higher..or get the potions : But as i said im bored fighting with one weapon.Thats why magic is cool here.G2 and G1 were all about melee fighting,it was intense it was action,i personally am a warrior-melee type of player but gothic 3 doesnt comes close to it this time:( Orcs just stand still while u pawn the left mouse click..boring..But magic was nice and so i dont hate this game like some do

BS! Wraith of Innos - 160 damage! - crappy Krush Tarach - 220 damage blessed and sharpenned! Ogre Morningstar - 250 damage! Krush Tarach can be found quite early in the game! Wraith of Innos is very hard to find! I haven't find it! I think that without patch 1.6 the weapon cannot be found at all! LOL! Also Ogre Morningstar cannot be found without the 'worn' sign! So best all around weapon is Krush Tarach! You can kill 6 orcs with one blow if you're very lucky!

Maybe..the combat system still isn't good..and the swings are so slow..not realistic at all
