We use ampfliers at work (hospital) for people that are HOH. Perhaps not as big but ours isn't smaller either.

wow! WTG! ^5 girl! I'm so jealous (we don't have a amazon/goodwill bins where I live). We have Value Village and a few other thrift stores but I've been seeing a lot of Dollar Tree at the stores lately. Even FB marketplace is too expensive now... Sad :(

Always so encouraging! I’m going to my Bins store on Friday just to see what is offered! Your mention of shrink wrap got me to pondering if you’ve ever shipped a picture with a glass frame. If yes, did you use shrink wrap for shipping? I’ve got several from my aunt’s estate that I’m just “sitting on” for fear of shipping. Any thoughts? And… many congrats on your awesome sales!

Thank you! Best of luck! So glass is a TOTALLY different ball game. You need a LOT of foam and bubble wrap for glass. Large glass I am not an expert in, and thats why I also stay clear of it. Shrink wrap is for the items less breakable, and bulky.

What do you mean they switched their model and cherry pick items? How do you know they do this? I don't shop at the bins but I would like to start later next year, but how do you confirm these things ? Thanks

Cherry picking is when they pick out the best stuff for themselves. Either personal, or their own online site (ebay etc.) As for how we know, well for one, the manager told us. LOL. He said he would be silly to leave such valuable items in the bins. After that conversation, items became less and less valuable. It's all items worth less than $100! Used to have better items and not anymore. I hear this happening over an over, and its the quickest way for these stores to shut down. No customers, means no business. Lucky for them, their target market is over the line (Senora, Mexico) so he knows he will always have a market. But for the locals, we don't find the value. Its nice and close for them to shop, and pricing is better than retail, so I can see the appeal, but as a reseller, its a hard pass. Hope that helps! Best of luck.

@desertsellers so basically if I were to explore a few bin stores I would have to scope them out and do some research to see if they actually sell higher quality items. I'm always fascinated by what you find. Thanks for all your tips

@lalapet87 no matter what it's worth going. Many times I leave with more personal items than resell so it was still worth the trip. And as I always say, they can't catch everything ☺️
