Way too expensive for a pair of headphones,none of these features amaze me,the headphones case dosen't impress me because at 200-400$,everything is done in this sort of fashion,if it was a pair of 50$ headphones,then yes,I would of been impressed,but in this conditions I am not,it's a pair of headphones that costs more than some quality phones like my own phablet,and I am sure my 35$ headphones are crappy maybe,I don't have a case and they are exosed to damange,but atleast I can listen to them easly,so....

Great video! Also, is the battery user replaceable and if not, do you know how much Sony will charge when it needs to be replaced? As of right now, Bose charges $259.00 for battery replacement in the QC35's after the one year warranty has expired. That is insane!

Some say Bose is still "pure" for an audiophile while Sony has lots of additional features which the competition lacks. What do you think?

Hi. Could I still use noise cancelling feature if I plug the aux cable on the airplane entertainment system? Or using the auxiliary wire will turn of canceling noise?

+Migue Iommi Hmmm great question. I'm assuming your talking about if the headphones are powered on and you plug in the auxiliary anyway, that's something I haven't tried but in theory should work since the headphones are powered on. But if they're powered off and you plug the auxiliary cable, then no. You won't get any of the noise canceling or ambient sound features. The headphones by themselves block out a fair bit of noise

please help!! i bought this set mdr 1000x, at the start, it shows bluetooth on my iphone so i connect with it and then when i look up into my mac, bluetooth was not showing there, i disconnect it from iphone but still no display of bluetooth connectivity at laptop. i forget it from iphone and now its not showing on any device what should i do ?

Factory reset. Have it disconnected from USB. Make sure they are off. Then hold the Ambient button and Power button for 7 seconds. The blue LED will flash about 4 times. And voila... pairing profiling data is gone. It should show up again on your device(s). :)

Of course. Any cheap USB wall charger will do. And why not be fully liberated from something connected to AC? Go for a powerbank instead!

It can store two device profiles however. Still better than one. For example, your PC and your smartphone. This personally does the job for me.

I don't mean to be rude, but I feel you are not giving the full story on the downsides of these. After 20 minutes, one's earsnwill become really hot due to the opening of the earpads being to narrow, thus clamping onto your ear lobes or the top and edges of your ears. The other problen is the ears touching the inside of the headphones as they are not deep enough and that also causes your ears to hurt after a while as the headphones clamp down quite tight. The most annoying thing I have experiences is that I can neber get them to sit right and comfortable. I am always fidgeting with the right cup and I never had this problem with a pair of August headphones (over-ear). They also start to creek or "squeek" after a few days whe your turn your head left or right. Oh, and the headphones like to "crack" at the hinges and Sony hates to replace them. Good luck.

Anarov wait on PC? Yes the MDR 1000X work very well because you can connect them with an AUX cord or connect via Bluetooth but like for example on my PS4 I tried to plug them into the controller nothing then tried with Bluetooth and my system didn't seem to pick them up so yeah.

Sony is World number one has developed A.S. ARTIFICIAL STUPIDITY. My MDR-1000X manual say the NC is running on A.I. but what kind of A.I. is it when it's unable to filter out the sound of the wind and when I use it in open area the sound of the mildest breeze gets caught by the microphones, amplified and comes to the ear cup in deafening volume. No way to use it in the city only in closed areas. BTW. If you wanna use NC you need to run it in Bluetooth mode in tandem with the MP payer which drains even the MP player batteries for the headphone has a built-in timer that cuts off the NC after 3 minutes unless use them together. Oh yes and please search the net with these keywords below: MDR-1000X has a build material issue MDR-1000X headband cracked MDR-1000X ear cup makes intolerable creaking noise

Sony won't tell you these about MDR 1000X: *NOT ONLY* : (a) Can't switch langauge *AND* (b) Can't disable voice assistant,you have to keep voice prompt ON . *AND MORE* : (c) no sound , can't control , totally down when charging . (d) can't control volume (up/down) when 3.5mm jack connected. (e) Noise cancelling may work or not work when 3.5mm jack connected , but don't know what condition cause it not work. (f) *NO* high volume protection , may harm your hearing. you can hear its sound clearly without put it on your head , even more than 1 meter. (g) may crack in 10 days . search "才買10天的Sony MDR-1000X斷裂問題 原廠拒絕保固". (h) some people report it cause headache after more than 1 hour listening.

(same thing with Bose) d: Use your device? If the battery's shot you can use your phone or laptop...
