Thank you.....as of now its looking pretty shabby as its all falling out, which is 100% part of the process. About 2 days after I shot this it started to shed. So in about 3 more months it will be growing back.

The most important reason that do it yourself raw is far superior to any commercial raw food is that the commercial raw food must go through the HPV process due to government regulation and this destroys the beneficial bacteria so important for gut health that makes the dogs immune system powerful. And this allows you to avoid all the flea and tick and heartworm medicine that are so toxic.

Hills Science Diet is expensive & it made my dog really sick. Her black coat turned brown, it fell out in patches,she gained lot of weight. Was actually never the same after that.

I give my boys Ark natural gental digest pre and probiotics every morning and they get Greek yogurt , blueberries 3 times a week for a treat on their lick pad, I also give my boys a tablespoon of organic honey once in awhile once a week to 10 days. They get joint and bone supplements since I have a boy with growing pains that started at 5 months and may not end until he is full grown. He has been xray’d his bones and joints are good but he is growing so fast due to he came to us under weight and smaller then he should have been for his age. He gained 20 lbs in a month just feeding him a very normal schedule we did not expect this. I wish I knew better and could have changed something to help him rather than to watch him limping on a different leg every other week and see him in pain it bothers me. Growing pains is painful for them. Having to keep him sedate until he feels better every time Anyhoo I am glad you did this video because I need to find a diet my boys like. I have been buying Bad lands to give them as a topper on their kibble now. But I guarantee I do read every ingredient and and yes both my Corso boys can not eat chicken. Farmers Dog kept my boys with cancer alive a yr longer than they said he would. Thank you so much we looked at Buck wild Bison but wasn’t sure now I know we can go forward with it

Hello, Jason. Would it be possible for you to do a video about living with chronic pain and being able to have/train Corsos? How do you handle being chronically ill and having the energy to take care of your boys so well? I’ve recently lost my mixed Corso in September. We adopted him without knowing what CC are and through him/you I’ve learned so much. I have fibromyalgia & migraines and would love to possibly have a pure bred one day. Though I’m unsure if I could handle that amount of responsibility ☺️ Anyways…thank you for all the amazing information you put out for others!! You and your amazing wife have helped my parents and I so much with our loss ❤

I don't like going over my issues much on here. People will think I sound whiny or complaining. But there is no secret. I literally get up with tons of pain and go through my day and handle every responsibility with a ton of pain and just try to manage. No secret sauce, no magic fix I just go forward. Lots of caffeine during the day and cannabis at night to deal as best I can. Follow Kara on her KZbin as when we do talk about my stuff it is more so over on her channel since it is about heath.

Like with dyes / food coloring in our food I've always thought there was no need for that in dog food either because dogs don't care if it looks pretty it needs to taste good and be good for them.

I only buy Just Food for Dogs frozen meals. My dog loves it and just licks the bowl after he’s done eating. After feeding this food to my dog, he stopped throwing up, his stool became solid, his hot spots went away, he’s no longer itchy/scratchy and he is a lot more active. I cant say enough good things about this company. My dog has been on this food now for about 11 years (he’s now 15] and he acts like a puppy still. I’ve also used their powder supplement and bought the necessary food to make myself, although it is very cost effective it’s very laborious for me so I usually just buy frozen.

I’m just gonna put it out there for all the people who can’t afford the expensive stuff. I’ve fed all my dogs Purina and no issues all died medical free 10-12 years old. Multiple breeds corso, American Bulldog, Rottweiler, husky pit mix. All happy all healthy. They have different meet options you don’t need to just get the chicken one. Again not saying the video is bad just saying you don’t need to go broke feeding your dog just be knowledgeable and do your own research. Background btw trained dogs for the police department and have had many large breed dogs listed above. Currently have cane corso beautiful and healthy and my husky pit mix so peace ✌🏻 do with this info as you wish.

Acana for Dogs no longer trust in 🇨🇦. I did extensive research decades ago with that grain issues. Switched to Acana large breed till years later I found they switched the ingredients to turkey, but didn't change the front packaging stating it was made with free range Chicken. Even the pet store owner was shocked at the deception. The constant price hikes every month was painful. I switched to 🇨🇦 manufacture actually in my city, they are doing great been on that brand for over decade now. Strangely, my cats Acana Chicken cat food is the same ingredients for 13 years.

Jason, or anyone knowledgeable in the chat...I know you don't like mixing kibble with raw but what about mixing Open Farm for instance with freeze dried raw or such? Allows for high end and variety.

I think its not a matter of like. I think the reasoning behind not mixing kibble and raw is because kibble is a different PH or it requires a different gut PH to digest. So using kibble and raw would cause stomach upset or improper digestion and absorption of the nutrients nullifying the benefits of going raw in the first place. At least this is how I understand it if I am wrong someone chime in.

Thanks @Jasoncorey this was great! I feed my two Cane Corso’s raw by @k9 kravings only for very long time but recently added kibble (Nutro limited ingredient very expensive) due to cost and life. They have had many different kibble and none of them seem to do the job becuz they luv the raw and have been on it for most of their life from 8 weeks old. After watching I may switch to open farms or primal kibble in the raw if they have to have kibbles and go back to fully raw.

Man I been feeding my boxer raw food since he was a puppy which was 7 years ago. Just got a new puppy and decided to try a vet near my new home well got into an argument with the vet because they proceeded to tell me raw food is not good 😊.
