My 17yr old was bitten at her friends by this breed on her arm. Any dog can bite however I'd rather be bitten by a cat then a lion. A whippet isn't going to kill me like this breed can! Not for me

I inherited a Cane Corso and I'm petite, my dog is the daftest, softest lump and very well trained. The downsides are my husband puts her first and she is like his shadow 😂😂😂. The biggest downside is the incessant barking when friends, post man, delivery men come to the house. It takes a while for her to settle down once she knows they are friends. Another downside is she hates being left alone ever... we cant go out for meals without checking the restaurant takes a dog. She sits so quietly under the table. If i go skiing, i cant go for long as she sits and cries. She is very sociable with children and other dogs and the upsides far outweigh the downsides.

I live in the UK, it’s the smaller breeds that you need to watch out for. I was bit by 2 different small dogs. My dog had 3 small dogs go for her while she was on the lead and they weren’t!, the owners of the small dogs weren’t bothered just because my dog was bigger-it still hurts big dogs when they are attacked. It’s the owners that are responsible for proper training of ALL dogs of ALL sizes! My cane corso is 2 years old and she’s a big softy! Best dog I’ve ever had!

A Corso will spot a 🤬💩 from a far, you can't hide unstable energy from a Corso. Humans ignore the signs, a Corso doesn't. Their intelligence and strength is not to be challenged by an outsider.

Media should highlight dangerous dogs more vigorously. Either you're blind and deaf or just dumb, check the statistics pit bulls American xl bully's and all other banned dogs have attacked and killed hundreds of people. How would you feel if one of these dogs attacked you or your loved ones? ,cane corso breed has only recently become popular and hence attacks on humans and other dog's are being reported.

Mentally Strong🙋🏻‍♀️, Calm & Assertive 🙋🏻‍♀️, Disabled on my Left Side🙋🏻‍♀️ My Corso's are Obedience trained, are my Service Dogs that I take out with me. They understand their job is to assist me and keep me safe from harm and won't leave my side. They walk on my left side. I have been training large breed dogs for numerous decades. Corso's are my favorite. My first Corso was a Magnificent Male that saved my life numerous times, I always look for that Magnificent in my next Corso.

I think one thing most people do not consider is how you will pick them up (110 pound + breeds) and get them in a vehicle when they are sick or injured. As i got older, i found that the two of us were finding it more difficult to pick them up. We normally use a blanket with two people lifting them when they are hurt or sick.

We had this type of hysteria with the Rottweiler back in the 80’s in the uk it’s just typical of our media but now it’s far worse with social media blowing everything out of proportion and some you tube channels having misleading titles used for clickbait and all for monetary gain at the expense of a breed of dog that isn’t even that popular in the uk and most people have never heard of.

True. I can physically over power my corso I'm a fairly large man but that's not good for my dog amd certainly not good if anyone else in my household tried to handle a fur tank like him. A good dog wants to listen and wants to make you happy and wants to learn so that he's included in the pack it's just part of them and I think a corso is the best example of that yes they are big but they want to be in the pack more than any other dog I've had .

The problem is BACKYARD BREEDERS who sell to anyone...then they breed and so on and so on ruins the breed and reputation. My friends Doberman is more dangerous than my Cane.
@jasoncorey
@jasoncorey 16 сағат бұрын
Yes that's part of the problem but it goes far beyond that. Consumers having lack of education on dog behavior and dog training, people not being honest with themselves with their training abilities and level education with training dogs, people not being honest with themselves on what they can take on in life with time.... Poor breeding practices yes but only part of the problem

@jasoncorey 👍 when I was a breeder of German Shepherds I was VERY PICKY about where my pups went, I had a contract that included that pet be spayed or neutered after the age of two and if they could not no longer keep the dog(i.e. moving, divorce) the dog would have to come back to me. The pups were socialized at 3 weeks of age. So a good breeder and education and strict homing guidelines are a must. Good points today. May the public be aware through this video thank you for all you do!

Ive never had a problem with big dogs. Most of them are very obedient. Its the smaller tiny breeds that usually bark and want to bite your fingers off. Id let my kid pet a boxer, lab, staffy ect but never a Chihuahua. +sidenote If your dog is a dick, you probably are too

It is not the breed of dog it is the person that has theses breeds and don't know who to keep them. Mostly they are having these breeds for making themselves look good and not training them properly. I don't feel myself banning breeds makes any difference it just goes onto another dog in the end big breed dogs will be totally gone which is such a shame. It's the wrong people having these does for a status symbol its not fair on the dogs either. I also feel the bans are bought in far too quickly and the government do not listen to the experts they just go in gun ho which is really not right. I live in England and I feel the banning of these breeds is totally stupid but unfortunately we don't get listened to as the normal person they think we don't have a brain to think about theses dogs but the government think they do😂 The breeders are also to blame by letting the wrong people buy these dogs they don't care all they want is money, good established breeders are different they want to keep their breed and not for it to have a bad name when a breeder has bred for say 30 years and then this happens what a sad thing to happen to the good breeders. It all needs to be looked into otherwise we are going yo loose so many beautiful breeds through ignorance. 😪

stop this hypocrisy, I am Italian and I love the Cane Corso, but there are many breeds including the Cane Corso that are objectively dangerous, it depends on how the dog is raised and its genetic inclinations, there are good and balanced Cane Corsos and some that are not, if a dog is inclined to aggression, it can be trained and will probably never hurt anyone, but there is always a gray area that we cannot control where the dog could attack others if we leave it alone without the presence of the owner, so what is right to do is to regulate these dogs, banning them is stupid because it is literally prohibitionism, what must be done is to stipulate strict rules regarding certain types of dogs and sanctions for those who do not respect them. I agree with you, no breed of dog should be banned, but I think there should be regulations, mandatory training, choke collars, and in very crowded places mandatory muzzles on trains, buses, or city centers. This way dog attacks would reduce by 80% I'm sure.
