I totally agree with your thoughts on the Dior Skin Glow foundation. I actually just tried it on today, and it transferred so much because it never sets on my skin though I had used setting powder plus Dior setting spray. I removed it after a few hours and applied the matte one, but it was the same! Going to return both.

I too was disappointed with Hourglass. It looks “makeup-y”! I thought I was putting too much on, but no matter how I try it still looks bad 😮

I enjoyed how thorough you were in this video because sometimes all those little details and nuances matter! Especially with foundations. I think I might try the Chanel No. 1 foundation after hearing your analysis of it. Other reviews were a bit unclear to me. I'm afraid of breaking out though so maybe I'll sample first. And Dior foundations have always oxidized on me. I have the type of skin/pH that makes everything oxidize though so I'm used to purchasing a shade lighter than I am. Loved this video!

I bought The foundation in shade O30 and cream Foundation in tube with shade O20 from Cle De Peau due to you have such good video to expend the detail , love both of them so much ,after apply The foundation I spray the setting mist to replace of powder because the skin looks fantastic I do not want to matt it , Thank you so much to make this video , it helps a lot for me that a dry and mature skin' s woman .

Hi April! I wish I could try her foundation, but unfortunately shipping to Canada is too expensive. Last time I ordered from her, I had to pay an additional $70 in shipping/duties/customs, so I just can't justify buying from her unfortunately! Have a lovely Christmas & Happy New Year as well! ♥️

Of course! In terms of lightest to fullest coverage for the top 5, it goes: 1. Chanel Water Fresh Complexion Touch 2. Dior Super Potent Serum Foundation 3. Cle De Peau The Foundation (honestly hard to rank #2, 3 & 4 because they are very similar in coverage...the differences in coverage are very subtle in those 3!) 4. Guerlain Parure Gold Matte Foundation 5. Cle De Peau Radiant Cream Foundation Hope that helps! :)

You are my favorite foundation reviewer! You are so incredibly descriptive and detailed in your videos and you have saved me so much money! I was on a foundation low buy this year so I only have 2 of these. I bought the dior capture totale and the CdP was a generous gift. I still want the Guerlain and the CdP cream foundations though since I don’t have anything with fuller coverage. I’m almost done with a couple of foundations though so those are next on my list!

I absolutely love your foundation recommendations and love the ones I purchased! The Foundation by Cle de Peau is amazing flawless, airbrushed coverage and a "must have!" I just switched from B30 to B20 for Winter. The Cle de Peau Radiance foundation is also amazing. I wore it to work yesterday and it looked beautiful for at least 12-14 hours! For the Chanel, you didn't mention the Sublimage L'essence de Teint this time, however, it is a gorgeous dream-like finish with skin improving properties and a serum-like texture. I also really love both the Chanel Water fresh Tint foundation & Chanel Complexion Tint! Love the way you highlight the benefits and differences! Super excited - I finally got around to ordering the Sisley Phyto Concealer today!! Can't wait....it should be here next week! 🙂

I did not mention the Chanel Sublimage since it was released in 2021!..but, I plan to do a follow up video where I talk about my absolute favorite products and will include that foundation then, just so we can see how it ranks in comparison with my "older" foundations! I'm loving my Chanel sublimaged concealer for under my eyes, my new favourite foundation has to be Guerlain terracotta foundation my shade is 1.5N so beautiful on my skin 😍 for me it reminds me of my other favourite clé de peau radiant matte foundation ✨️ also I spot conceal using clé de peau concealer stick ✨️ ♥️ Great video. Thank you so much!! I prefer the Dior Capture Totale! The Armani (on me) looks heavy and sinks into every pore and emphasizes them (even though I don't even have large pores haha) - so the Dior is an easy win!

I had that exact same issue with the dior skin glow and matte foundation. The only one that doesnt is the dior backstage face and body which i love (and airflash but thats gone) The chanel ultra was decent but i agree looked heavy no matter how little i applied and im oily so if i powdered it with anything, even chanel powder, it looked terrible ...even my husband would comment it wasnt my best foundation.

Hi Lisa, Thank you for the great video. I agree with you on so many of these. I hate the Charlotte Tilbury foundation. I love the Dior Capture Totale serum foundation. I want to get the New Guerlain foundation because I loved the Guerlain Lingerie de Peau which was discontinued. Another beauty KZbinr said the radiant version was similar to the Lingerie de Peau, another said mix the radiant and matte versions and they are beautiful together. Do you think the Matte version is similar to the Dior Capture Totale or more matte? Since I have to order from Selfridges I having trouble deciding to which version to buy. Thank you for listing your shades used because it helps tremendously.

Thank you so much! Ohh, you will love the new Guerlain foundation if you liked the old Lingerie de Peau! I prefer this new version! I think the Matte version is more matte than the Dior Capture Totale! It still has a nice skin-like quality, but is definitely more matte than the Dior!

Love your foundation collection! I really enjoy the Chanel Water Fresh Tint and Ultra le Teint. Have you tried Sisley's cushion foundation? That one is one of my top favourites. It somehow looks better throughout the day. ♥️

The Chanel Ultra Le Teint is my favorite and I'm wondering if you had the right shade? I know that's not all you didn't care for in this product, but I wear shade B30 and you have a lighter complexion than me. Maybe if you had tried a shade lighter like maybe the B20 (I think that was the other I tried that was a shade lighter). Just an idea.

Thank you for the recommendation! Actually B30 is the closest match I can get! It his a taddd too deep, but B20 was too light for me - I think it just doesn't work the best because my skin is soooo dry! If I add a drop or 2 of oil into it, it works much better for me, but I think my skin is just a bit too dry to use it on its own (unless it is very hot outside!) ❤ It's still a beautiful foundation, but just not the best for my skin type/the climate I live in! If I lived in a warmer climate, I feel like I would like it a lot more as well :)

Every one of us has a different chemistry too, obviously, so each foundation can have juuuuuust a teensy bit difference from another foundation that makes it work on us or not. Kind of like dating, or most anything and everything in life! 😂

Lisa, I know this is off the topic of foundation, however, I've been looking at 4 different Eyeshadow singles in the Sisley Phyto Ombres collection. Have you used these and if so what are your thoughts? I'm looking at Silky Coral, Silky Chesnut, Topaz, and Silky Rose.

Hi Sarah! I have tried this formula! It is really lovely, but a lot of the colours aren't my absolute favorite! Out of the ones you mentioned, my favorite is the Topaz shade!! I did order that one, but ended up giving it to my Sister, since it is a bit of a deeper tone and I tend not to use those on my eyes very often! The formula is gorgeous on them though. A very sophisticated shadow that has a beautiful sheen and formula, but I just wish they had more shades available!! I currently have the Silky Beige & Golden Glow shadows, and while the formula is beautiful, I don't reach for them as often as I wish I did for the price! I reach for my Chantecaille single shadows & Bobbi brown singles more - again, mostly due to the shade, I actually like the Sisley formula just the same as the other ones I mentioned (but perhaps the Sisley is even more of a soft sheen in comparison), but just wish there was a better range of colours available! (like if they had a light taupe, or lighter bronze/gold, soft brown I would be all over those shades!) - I hope that made sense haha - I feel like I just rambled in this comment

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback on the Sisely shadows. This is super helpful! I absolutely agree on the Chantacaille and Bobbi Brown shadows and love my Chanel and Cle de Peau shadows as well. It sounds like a lighter shade might be best to try if I wanted to explore this formula since I also prefer the lighter, more natural tones, so also super helpful! Thank you!! 🙂

Hi Laura Lee! These were just the foundations I tried in 2022! So, I did not include my other foundations! So sorry for the confusion. I do need to do a ranking of all my foundations, but the CDP Radiant fluid would come above the CDP radiant cream foundation if I was ranking all my foundations! ❤

Hi Ana! It actually is not my favorite foundation! I love the Chanel Sublimage l'essence de teint...that is in my top 3! But, the Chanel Le Teint foundation I do not love...it is nice and does have a blurring effect, but it is a bit too full coverage and matte for my personal preference! It is nice though, probably works better if you have oily skin! :)

But, this one, oh boy, I wore it to the supermarket, and to do errands. I could not wait to get home and wash it off! My pores are very small, almost non-noticeable. But, with this foundation, it magnified them, felt heavy on my face, & was also drying, but looked oily

Hi Rasha! I do not have a review - so sorry! However, I have tried and decluttered that foundation! I honestly do not love it on my skin personally. It never really melted into my skin and just sat on top of my skin, so it wasn't my favorite - however, I know a lot of other people love it, so I might be in the minority with that thought!

Hi Winny! Yes, I do!! The only skin type I think might face a challenge is super oily. I think oily skin could even make it work with the right primer, but with combo skin, I think this will work beautifully! You may just need to make sure to set the center of your face with powder, but it should hold up beautifully on combo skin I think!
