I have memories of my family on Haunted Mansion. I started crying when the ghoul popped out in front of me in the cemetery. My mom, who was sitting next to me, comforted me until the end. After we got off, my wife heard what had happened and told me to grow up.

How could you leave out the Tiki Room as an animatronic bonus?! Not a ride but I enjoyed the show for the first time in 20+ years this January (first time for my kids and husband) and LOVED it just as much or more than I did long ago!!

I took an engineer friend who thought he hated Disneyworld with us to the parks. I took him to the TIki Room and, at the end of the show, he stood on a bench and examined a bird with great delight. He could not get over all of the doohickies and whatchamacallits (not his words - he used the real ones) that made the bird move. He was suddenly a Disney fan.

I would have added the Tiki Room. For one thing, you can SIT DOWN and you’re in a dark and often cool room. This is a great ride to just unwind. As for teens: Tron, The Mountains, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Carribbean (how could you not mention that one?), and the Orbiter-especially at night.

I went to Disneyland last year and my almost 3-year old (she was a month shy of her birthday) absolutely loved driving on Autopia. I handled the gas pedal since she couldn't reach it. She wasn't a great driver by any means, but the experience was just fantastic for her (and she still talks about it to this day)

Count me as a Haunted Mansion fan since early childhood. My family's first trip there was in 1974 (I think, maybe 1975) and we stayed at the Contemporary. (Back then, it WAS contemporary!) I wasn't even 10 years old yet. Somehow I knew the Haunted Mansion was all make-believe, not that I knew how any of the effects were achieved. But I definitely erred too far into that realm of make-believe.... How so? I remember standing in line for the Haunted Mansion at night, when suddenly there was lightning overhead. It didn't begin to rain - in fact it never did rain at all - but there was lightning anyway. I was standing in line with my aunt (who was a teenager at the time) and confidently explained that the reason we see lightning but no rain is because of Disney's special effects. My aunt tried to explain that the lightning was real, and I considered it for a moment. But no, I decided, "that lightning was put there by Disney to make the ride seem more scary." In other words, I have LONG been a true believer in Disney magic!

I passed 2 kidney stones and when I tell you I was running in circles because if I stood still I could feel them passing and it was so painful. So I understand how a bumpy Rollercoaster could keep your mind off the passing and help the moving process 😅

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin will always have a special place in my heart. I was obsessed with Buzz Lightyear as a kid and I vividly remember my first time going on the ride (it was 2009 or 2010). I had so much fun on the ride that I literally refused to get off it😂. I made my dad go on it with me so many times that just let us stay on the ride until we wanted to leave. Fast forward to about a month ago when I came back to Disney World for the first time since then I immediately made my friends go on it with me the second we got into Magic Kingdom. Let’s just say… it wasn’t as good as I remember lol. I’ve clearly aged out of it at this point (I’m 19 now) but that first time riding it will always be a core memory for me.

the most advanced is the Shaman on Navi River Journey at Animal Kingdom. It really is incredible. However, the ride is VERRRY short, so I wouldn't wait long for it. It's just not worth waiting an hour for this one. It's not even worth 30 minutes. I'll only ride it again if it's a walk-on!

I know it's not a ride so technically doesn't count, but the worst attraction at the Magic Kingdom is, hands down, the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. It has all the thrills of walking up a flight of stairs. Which, of course, is exactly what you want to do after walking for miles and standing in line for hours. They should add a subtitle to the attraction..."Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse: Feel the Burn!"

OK, AJ, you wanted to know about preschooler who can drive. Not the Autopia (we took my kid when he was 9 to Disneyland - he hated it - I'm thinking that they switched kids at birth on me) but the Legoland driving ride in San Diego. My kid was about 4 and they do not have it on a track. It's literally just a bunch of kids driving around motorized go carts. Some kid crashed in front of my kid and to my ever loving shock, my kid swung his car around the crash, avoided hitting other kids who couldn't figure out what to do and kept going. Other parents were cheering my kid! Now my kid is 17 and refuses to get a driver's license so ..

We enjoyed MK the least during our trip to Disney two weeks ago. The park was packed. Every single ride was more than 75min wait, including little mermaid, mad teacup, etc. We used Genius+ for Peter Pan and Jungle cruise. It was useless for the rest of the day because it was either unavailable or super late during the day. The humid hot weather didn't help either.

When I was a kid I was a terrible chicken, so the first time I went to Disneyland (I live on the west coast) when the Haunted Mansion opened, I skipped it, mostly on account of those characters that leapt out of gravestones and shrieked.
