This really is some CRAZY scrambling. I noticed Red doing something that a lot of wrestlers forget about, which is using his feet and legs offensively in those scrambles. You can see him several times do almost a half nelson with his toe, and he changes direction quickly with his leg to have a balance advantage.

Don’t be cocky red. Just take the win and walk with it.

Jeremy Stoian - exactly. Especially considering the fact that he got away with stalling for most of the match and didn’t get called for it. He’s lucky he got away with a win

Maybe if they didn’t start the match with a Let’s Get ready to rumble introduction like it’s a big time prize fight he wouldn’t have so much cockiness. They are turning these kids into entertainers.

Y’all sound ridiculous. 1. He was not cocky he spoke truth with was they (flo announcers and analysis and the guy helping Luke on the edge) though he would t get the job done. He did with two save that hoe potentially dangerous calls. 2. He said the number beside he’s name means nothing he must wrestle hard against anyone he faces including he’s father. Which was after he tried to show love to everyone including refs and one dissed him. 3. Stalling? Shut up. He attacked now did he take more shot chances than luke no but did he counter attack and attack the corner every shot yes. I still think he got taken down but that not my call. 4. He did not go to the microphone they came to him. Speak facts like Jordan not opinions and troll like Dake

What a fantastic 1-1 match haha 5:15 can’t believe Red rolled out of that to score! Unreal. The dab was weak he took one shot the whole match and got re shot on and almost taken down. He was looking to score of a defensive funk the whole match. I thought the peek out duck on the edge of the Mat was two as well. Close but u give it to him.

Maybe it's because I only wrestled high school, but is scrambling the new meta in wrestling? I hardly see sprawls now, and watching old matches from the 80s and 90s, everyone sprawled and it was rare to see a scramble.

The "potentially dangerous" situations that break the action suck. In sub grappling they would be "potentially finishing" and cause a tap. But unfortunately you can't get the best of both worlds together in the same contest. Hopefully with CJJ we'll get closer to combining the two with the added incentive for top position there
@darron6144 жыл бұрын
Pletcher got plenty of revenge on Red in college after getting completely robbed here. Don't know how they messed up that takedown call for Pletcher late in the 3rd. Not to mention Red playing the edge of the mat way too much without a stall call.

Bad rule set, bad refereeing. Without the push out rule, the ref has got to more aggressive on passivity calls when a wrestler repeadetly gives up ground and goes out of bounds. Doesn't matter if they've got a caller tie if they're still just backing up all the time. Notice how much more engagement you get from red once the push out rule is in effect in the second overtime.
