@Jonathan Bachman, This is not as much about Martin being weak, as it is Bo being a monster (i.e. any active college wrestler who pulled off a D1 NC isn't weak). A takedown is 2 points, reversal is 2 points, stand up escape is 1 point, if they're put on their back but not pinned for 3 seconds I think it's 3 points and a pin is a pin. Your team gets 6 points for a pin and I think it's 3 points for a win by points. In college there's riding time. Which is time in control while on top of your opponent. Over a minute is a extra point at the end of the match. So if it's 3-3 but one man has 1:14 of riding time he'd win 4-3

@jonathanbachman23396 жыл бұрын
Hypergolic17 I agree Sir Snyder is Good. He did not get beat physically. He is not weak and lack stamina. You get turned with the Archer you need to work on you strength and stamina.
@jimjameson19066 жыл бұрын
Wrong. In fact, Ohio State's wrestlers ARE the STRONGEST wrestlers physically. The problems they have are that they cut FAR too much weight and often gas out in the third, and that they do not have the hip flexibility to win scrambles or funk sequences. Nickal is better than Martin in every position, which is why Nickal will always win unless he slips on a throw(the first loss) or gives up two quick takedowns and allows Martin to stall out the third(second loss). Ohio St has the same problem that Ok St has: They wear down in March because of weight pull.
@jonathanbachman23396 жыл бұрын
Jim Jameson Obviously your an ignorant OSU fan. All wrestlers have to maintain wt. So......now your saying they are undisciplined AND weak? Yes Sir they are weak , undisciplined and lack stamina. You do not get man handled like OSU did 49, 65, 74 and 84 and lose to perhaps one of the greatest wrestling squads ever assembled. OSU is well coach and technically sound. OSU IS WEAK compared to Penn State. Flexibility? No Martin got manhandled. Taken down with a double. Nickal is in his head. Bo will stick him. Soon. Maybe at the Big Tens. Or the National Championship. It is inevitable. Martin like the rest of the OSU wrestlers are weak.

Bo nickel is scary level explosive wrestler and great with his hands too . Ufc opponents are quietly shutting themselves praying they don’t get called up to fight this future champion .

Anytime you feel uncomfortable, just crawl into a fetal position and cry for your mum. That always works.

Nickal has just great use of his legs and some Eastern inspired wrestling. So fun to watch
@elanmaseri20832 жыл бұрын
great hips are a sign of the eastern style. He is also very Jiu jitsu ish. This is why he can easily make the switch to mma

Folkstyle wrestling came from catch wrestling. Which was heavily influenced by japanese jujitsu. Men like Yukio Tani. In fact many throws in freestyle wrestling look like judo throw. Watch the 1937 NCAA wrestling on KZbin and tell if it doesn't resemble nogi grappling. But without submission.
