This is such an individual thing… I returned the RmPP for a variety of reasons, but I really didn’t like the writing feel. Boox are good for me. I love the Scribe feel (the most, honestly). The Supernote A6x2 is pretty good for me, and will get better with use I think. So it’s super annoying to have to order and return (or not) these things…

Looking at your list, the best the Remarkable can do would be a tie with the Boox Go 10.3!

One issue I've found with the RMPP is the initial, out of the box, handwriting feel is underwhelming if you're used to RM2 and other devices. Once you've had it for a week or two and the nib wears down a little the handwriting experience begins to feel wonderful and better than the others. It does seem like the nibs wear down a bit faster than standard wacom nibs though, which could be expensive long term given the proprietary nature of the thing. I do love the device though.

Having used both, I tend to agree. Another thing about the Remarkable pen styles is that they seem quite similar to their real-life equivalent - i.e the ballpoint acts and looks like a ballpoint. My only complaint about the paper pro pen styles is that they are quite thin (unless I'm just not applying enough pressure).

I received the Paper pro today, everything is perfect, the thing with video reviews is that everything is a bit exaggerated by default, so keep this in mind, I was totally satisfied despite having lots of doubts on the product dew to listening to a lot of reviews. But the advantages far outrun any disadvantages, like the writing on PPro can be described in many different ways, but at the end of the day, the device is just perfect for pdf reading, highlighting, drawing etc..... I had the Paper Pro for 2 weeks. Using it together with the Marker Plus Pen, It feels amazing. I was used to the Supernote A6X2. I had not any complain with the Supernote writing experience with the LAMI pen. But the Paper Pro after 2 weeks using it make me smile, I don't want to go back. Of course it is a personal thing, that could be different for somebody else.

I tend to write 'tight lined text' in much the same way as I do with a ballpoint on a lined paper, and I can not accomplish this with felt tips on glass screens because they are so slippery, yet the worst combination by far is attempting to write on any of my Boox devices with the plastic tipped Lammy I have... where I'm in very real danger of slipping off the the edge of the screen and stabbing myself in the leg! Writing on the flexible screen of my A5X with Supernote's Heart of Metal Pen works perfectly, without which I may not have stayed with e-ink for note taking, but what I can't understand is why it feels slippery to write with the same pen on the flexible screen of my Boox Lumi 2, and I can only assume its because of the lack of the _'FeelWrite'_ layer. So, for realistic natural writing, Supernote seemed to have hit on the perfect combination of a ceramic nib with their FeelWrite layer set on top of a flexible screen, and I'm hoping the FeelWrite2 on the flexible screen of the A5X2 will be just as pleasing. I use my Boox Lumi 2 set in a stand for coping verses from bible software or searching for bible referencing on the web, and with that combination both my Supernote and Lumi 2 compliment each other in my workflow, who would have thought?

I'd be really interested to know how the Supernote Nomad compares with both. The Nomad is my first ink tablet and I am really enjoying it. I definitely want to get a bigger ink tablet to complement it and the handwriting experience is a key factor as I am currently working on graphotherapy. I am partly waiting for the A5X to become available but I am wondering whether I should go for a reMarkable... not intereted in colour, though... I wish one could just test these things in a store and have a proper play around before buying...

Yeah, agreed, it'd be great if you could try them in stores. Remarkable Pro should be in best buys in the US and might be in Currys in the UK soon. The nomad is currently the best handwriting feel. And the A5X isn't far behind. So I'd wait for the A5X2 if you just want a bigger Nomad!

Yep, I can concur on the handwriting part on the RMPP. The writing feel (for me personally) as well as "black and white handwriting" is absolutely great for it (I'm coming from Boox Go 10.3), and I like it.

I currently own a Boox Go 10.3 and a Samsung s8 ultra with a paper feel screen protector. Altho I love the Boox for reading and pdf annotations, I still use the samsung for notes because of lack of pen styles/ease of use when it comes to organising notes. I use the "Caligraphy pen" alot as I do alot of arabic writing, just wish samsung notes worked worked properly on Boox, or noteshelf

Yeah, I think overall, handwriting is better on the reMarkable platform than it is on Boox. Partly it's the great pen tools, but both reMarkables are better than all the Boox kiddies. (Supernote is the best handwriting feel overall though.)

I think the writing feel on the RMPP tops the RM2 and the appearance of the writing on the screen and on the apps is better (for me at least). I returned the RM2 as couldn't get on with it (found it slow in navigation around pdfs too). Tried a note air 3c and just couldn't use the filing system on there as need all my files relating to one subject in one place, not split between notebooks and pdfs. Went back to using my iPad Pro in the interim period with a paperlike but been using the RMPP for 3 days now and not picked up the iPad once.....looking good this time.

Rmpp has far better writing feeling than go 10.3 which feels more tabletish (i have only original pen that go 10.3 came with)
