Just curious. At 6:55. I did that too! I removed the plastic rails from an old Aprilaire 413. It WAS a giant pain. Why didn't you try that, stapling them on and a few dabs of hot glue? I bet that would work. Let me know if you did try and what you ran into. Thanks for your video.

Because I'd have to do that with every filter change. If you went through that process you know what that means. It's just not worth it for me.

@@adventurelausThanks for replying. All you'd have to do is keep using the same black plastic rails. My thought is to put a couple of dabs of hot glue under each side and like two staples. That should be plenty to hold them in place. Heck, you might even be able to use a little duck tape, easier! Since the top and bottom of the knockoff filter is cardboard, pulling off the reusable rails would be super easy NOT like from the Aprilaire. Pulling from the Aprilaire is insane because of the amount of glue they used and it was attached to the filter media. (By the way, so glad there is another person out there that thinks like me!)
