Last week, I showed you the new Tactile Turn Bolt Action Pens. While visiting my buddy Rick of ZeroFeud, we thought it might be cool to customize the titanium version. We sandblasted and anodized the body, cap, and tip to achieve a bronze color, then threw it in the tumbler. The clip was sandblasted and acid-etched. Then, after a tumble, we decided to laser engrave the clip with a topo pattern. Finally, we blasted and anodized the bolt to a matte blurple.

Actual map maker here, most of us pronounce topo map as Toe-poe. But not everyone that makes maps does so...call it what you like.

Being a Land Surveyor I have learned it is dependent on the region you are from. here in Texas we say toe-poe graphical map but EITHER is correct. or is it eye ther!!

I'll be honest, I've always thought that fidget spinners were absolutely the silliest thing to come out in recent memory. Your input has sort of changed that, it is pretty awesome stuff with the personalized designs. It would be cool if you did more videos like this.

I think it is based on where you are from in the US. I'm a surveyor in CA and we often do topographical surveys or topos for short and every surveyor and engineer I know pronounces it toe-poe-graf-i-cal and toe-poes; however, topography is pronounced top-ah-gra-fi

Small things, like if you are trying to open a small electronic case, and it still won't come apart even after taking the screws out. They can also double as flathead screwdrivers. They can be used as scrapers as well. Some have a thinner edge on one side for cutting package tape too...

I would never use a pen like that for an EDC. My pens always seem to grow legs & walk away. One thing I don't understand. Why have a fancy modified utility blade? I put those things through hell & replace them often. Yeah, they look cool, but I need function not form.

I still think you need to get yourself a TiBolt. Everytime I come across a tactile turn it just feels... off, somehow. I don't know if it's the tolerances or something, but I just don't get that same premium feel from it as a titanium pen. Finally got a dragon-scale TiNyBolt recently to replace the one I had throughout college and lost this past spring. Was a first-run TiNy. Took me a couple years and about $600 to finish getting custom parts made for it so it was one of a kind at that point. I had written miles and miles of notes and it was definitely my most used EDC. It even made it into one of your videos when I submitted my EDC photo, it was the one with the Eschaton knife. That one never failed me and I even offered people $100 as a reward if they could find it. With this new one I haven't spent as much customizing it and it's maybe 95% done. To me hours and hours to refinish and anodize it the way I want though. Only parts I'm really missing would be a mokume bolt and a meteorite cap. Rick if you're reading this I already have your low profile handle on it, if you can help me out with the other bits I'd appreciate it!

You should offer a monthly drawing to get custom mods done by ZF on fan's gear that you pick for your weekly showcase. Then do a video series where you take us through the steps of each "build". It would be another facet to your channel & it would get ZF more customers possibly.

Late to the game, but basing pronunciation of an abbreviated word on the pronunciation of it's non-truncated version is not sound practice. We say rine-O not rine-ah as a shortened version of rhinoceros, we say amm-O not amm-you as a shortened version of ammunition. The fact that other abbreviations follow the exact opposite practice means there is no hard and fast rule. Personally, I'd use Topp-O. 🤷‍♂️

It must come down to learnt/area specific accent surely? Some may have learnt the word Toe - Poe graphical when the word is Topo - graphical, Toe - Poe is simply an extending of the o sound, with a drawl ending? Ahh shit I don’t know . . . 😂 I say it Topo but then I’m a Kiwi, so we were taught British pronunciations in school, although some of us are lazy with the vowels.
