Kirroughtree Scotland. Riding the COOL bits.

Todays Scottish ride is in a place called Kirroughtree in the Galloway Forest.
I have hire a Trek Rail from the on site bike shop called the break pad.
Kirroughtree has some cool features but my favourite is a bit called Mc Moab that has large rock features to ride over.

Never realised Kirroughtree had an on site bike hire that's handy. Those uphill rock features are always tricky especially when you cant get grip. Skilfully ridden over McMoab rock feature, arrows come in handy. Steep rock roll always looks intimidating reminds me of Laggan Wolftrax Ayres Rock feature. Never been may check out at some point thanks for sharing! 😁🤙

I didn't bring a bike with me so could only ride places with bike hire. Not so many of them in Scotland but Kirroughtree does have a good selection of bikes.

Sorry to hear that you are struggling with the loss of your friend, completely understandable though mate. It’s an interesting place Kirroughtree, we have visited a few times when up in Scotland as it just “different”.some tough climbing without a motor though.

Must admit the blue arrows were getting very faint. They need going over I think.

Yes it is not too bad when dry and grippy. I think if I really lowered the tire pressure I could have made it but have had three punctures at Kirroughtree in 5 rides so was reluctant to do that.

Does gravity work different in the Northern Hemisphere? You seem to have laid down more in the past few weeks than the past 3 years, That blue arrow section looked pretty neat. A nice finish to the video

Last time I rode McMoab there were no trees. That long ago. The trail is a fair old distance. I nearly broke my leg on that meandering rocky bit. There’s wild goats about there. Did you see any?

Didn't see any goats. It is a good loop out to Mc Moab. I like it because where I live we have no rocks to ride on. Pretty much dirt and tree roots only.

No, as mentioned at the end of the video I didn't ride nearly as much as I had originally planned. Will have to come back one day.
