The study of animal behavior leaves little room for emotional-related explanations. Feelings in animals tend to be presented as functional explanations of behavior in a given situation. The notion of emotion has been completely overlooked, especially in the sixties, at the peak of animal experimentation, since it was easier to deny animal feelings like sadness or suffering, to guiltlessly carry out all sorts of tests. Recognizing the existence of animal feelings implies moral obligations. Things however are changing… and many scientists who study animal behavior are paying more and more attention to emotions. But how could it be otherwise? To better understand a behavior we need to compare it to an already seen already and understood situation. And what could better help us understand a specific behavior than our own experience, our own behavior and our own emotions. -

abdisamad abdullahi id agree to a extent .. if not serious , at least those hoping to gain insight and wisdom via observation ;). And it’s important that there are documentaries available for people to watch from early on , primarily only that which studies animal behavior but does not implement hidden or blatant propaganda, as many now do ... but it’s important for those who aren’t as “‘serious “ about it lol to at least observe and understand into their behavior and to gain a sense of empathy for other living things.

Can’t believe it’s even a question as to whether they can feel and sense the full range of emotions .. YES... obviously ! Mammals are equipped in their limbic system , to stimulate production of the bonding chemical - oxytocin , which is present when feelings of love are felt ... just as we experience ... anyone , whether a scientist or every day random person should know by observation that animals can feel emotions and don’t rely only on instinct .. they have learned and modified behavior .. Scientists only ever maintained that animals can’t feel pain or emotions bc they wanted to carry out testing on animal subjects , without the stigma of torturing living things that can sense and feel pain and suffering ... Animals aren’t as equipped cognitively as we are , they do not have the conscious awareness we have , at the level that we have.. they can’t carry out tasks in the exact way as humans , yet it’s so apparent in their ways of life and communication , that they most definitely understand and exhibit feelings ... emotions .. I could’ve told scientists a long time ago .. but they KNEW this , they only admonished ppl for ever giving any credit to their ability to feel emotions and disallowed it in studies and research .. Whether it’s central nervous system, sympathetic or autonomic nervous system etc. they operate similarly as we do with fight or flight response to stimuli .. sadly , people for so long have promoted this horrible inaccurate bull crap , just to promote their self serving sense of entitlement and false sense of superiority / or abuse thereof ... God made such intricate , diverse , yet similar Creatures, So beautiful and intelligent in their own rite !
